Personally my favorite is TES IV: Oblivion, I love the aesthetic and color pallet of the game since the soft colors make it feel like I'm playing through a storybook, I believe that the faction quests are some of if not the best in the series and I adore the main questline. I think that TES III: Morrowind is a great game but I feel it hasn't aged well and I don't think it's quite as good as people say it is. Skyrim is overhated, it's a solid, if admittedly shallow, game but the mod scene is second to none and it definitely has its own appeal.

I've never played Arena or Daggerfall so I can't comment on them, but Daggerfall looks super cool.

Having not played for years, I got the remastered version of Oblivion and was immediately sucked back in for another hundred something hours

it was a bad look that actually worked in stopping anti-science bullshit. in 2020 i stopped going to Home Depot entirely and switched to Menards because some antisocial guy flashed his legal CCW gun at a worker that tried to get him to wear a mask. after that they stopped enforcing their mask policy. he was only initially charged with a misdemeanor but he changed the way the company performed business

I honestly would have hated to be a retail worker at that time. I remember talking to a cashier who was driven to tears because some asshole screamed at her about how he wasn't allowed to buy more than one loaf of bread, when it was a store rule and they had to go by that rule because otherwise they would have run out of stock.

I wasn't working retail but I don't miss the 100 hour weeks since I was one of the only ones too stupid to not quit and go on welfare like the majority of my coworkers did.

i feel less bad for workers who ignored the data that was available as soon as February 2020 that all the news about covid was fabricated fear mongering and tried to be mask karens. i feel very bad for workers that had to deal with all the side effects of the fear mongering at that time, including people who went crazy over rationing and hoarding. everyone was going crazy and taking it out on people who were just trying to do their job. and then almost immediately there were people getting busted for price gouging hand sanitizer and masks and paper goods

production of everything was halted for a while and people had a lot of trouble getting things they needed like isopropyl for cleaning needles and medicine, which again they took out on the workers who had no control over that

I still believe the gold standard is Morrowind even if it's undeniably shown its age. I can't appreciate Oblivion after playing Fallout 3 and realizing it was the same exact game with guns. Oblivion's world also felt more shallow than Morrowind's, despite most of the latter providing its setting through text.

I'll bring up a question related to this. Why are we unable to just agree to disagree and move on? What is the reason that all of us have this problem? And what's the cause of it? I do remember people being able to just say "alright, I disagree but I'll defend your right to say it."

Because the internet makes people more intransigent and people are more concerned with winning against some other autist they don't know and will never meet, instead of remembering that they are arguing with someone who may or may not be sincere, may or may not be good faith, and may or may not just want a fight. It's like they start viewing an internet post as a video game with some potential win/lose scenario, instead of a ever changing discussion that most people won't think about between site visits.

Until people are willing to consider that their one man internet post crusades aren't doing anything, or that if a couple of users are grandstanding the majority of the thread and could just shut up, you'll get the same people continuing to think they're somehow winning the internet forum, instead of just being annoying. Just using this thread as an example , how many posts are the same few posters literally repeating themselves over and over instead of just moving the fuck on.

You don't have to agree to disagree. You just have to realize that sometimes you should just shut up. Even people who agree with you get bored watching you say the same shit every single time.

Maybe I'm naive but I figured all the retail workers didn't really have the choice since in most stores I went to, it was mandatory to wear them. I figured if any of them went against that, they probably would have been fired or something like that.
