Iran Crisis & the 2026 War between Iran and the United States, Gulf States, and Israel - Please focus on news and coverage, not argumentation.

Iran is way more complicated because there is no existing structure on which we can simply rip out a few bad elements and then expect things to start working in our favor. It is in fact the classic case of the Throne being empty, and the current best contender for being Shah has been totally buck broken by fifty years in exile. He's not doing the needful, which would be to go back to his country NOW, while its still in flux and the revolutionaries need a leader. He's still sitting in his apartment in the west waiting until its safe. He's not the guy who would be King. Kings don't wait for permission to take their destined throned. They TAKE them.
Funnily enough we may see him do just that. IIRC he's at Mar-a-Lago tomorrow and wouldn't put it past Trump to say if he's willing to return the US will pave the way (with munitions). Would be the quick and dirty way of replacing the Ayatollah with a legitimate figurehead who (if the latest media evidence is accurate) has popular support without needing to wait for a more domestic source to emerge.

I'm not about to bet the house on that happening, but there are pathways currently available to having a relatively bloodless transition not involving a protracted civil war.

Zoroastrians low key believe Allah is the malevolent force of evil Angra Manyu, who exists in opposition to Ahura Mazda the creator God. Zoroastrians believe that the creator came upon the dominion of darkness in which Angra Manyu dwelled and willed creation into it and drove it back. But Angra Manyu ever seeks to reclaim what was stolen from it. The fire lighting ritual, and the ritual of tending to the fires is done to create constant light and creation even in the face of destruction and primordial entropy. The sacred fires are kept constantly lit, and the priests are constantly growing trees to be turned into wood that are then used to feed the fire, which in theory so long as the faithful continue to nurture new growth to be turned into firewood and stoke the flame, means that a given fire could be lit continuously for thousands of years and across generations of people.

Its a rather fascinating philosophy, and you can see how it influenced later religions like Judaism and Christianity. The christian concept of being "A light", or God as "The Light of the World" is cribbed directly from Zoroastrianism. As a Christian myself, I can say that its far closer to my own understanding of God then what the Muslims believe, even if theologically they are off the mark. I wouldn't mind attending a fire festival to ward off Satan. But I would mind being told to turn off my brain and become a slave which is what they do at Mosques.
You're telling me these niggas worship the Miata? Kinda based if slightly gay.

He'd better not be a cringing idiot then. Trump is going to expect him to stand up for himself and not lick his shoes if my read on how Trump views potential allies is true. The biggest example of this is Rubio. Trump shat on Rubio constantly and Rubio fought back constantly. Now Rubio is Secretary of State and given a massive portfolio. The man who would be King should not be talking about leading a transition to democracy. He should be talking about taking back his throne, how once he has it he can keep it, and why the USA should send an expeditionary force to help put him on it.

You know it does occur to me, Thousands of years ago the Persians freed the Jews from slavery and let them go back to Israel. Now the Jews might actually help return the favor thousands of years later and free the Persians from the bondage they are under now. I am not philosomitic in any way but it is interesting how history tends to rhyme sometimes.

Everything I've seen about the Pahlavi prince suggests he's about as competent as the opposition in Venezuela. A personal reprobate, Persian as a second language, deep personal jewish ties, and he already made a fool of himself when he cheered on Israel during the 12 day war. At best, he'd be a Rama X figure in Thailand where people just ignore him while he does his hookers and blow, at worst, he's a Yeltsin figure that will turn a once-in-a-generation political re-alignment into a second revolution against his family in 60 years.

Iran's best chance comes from some figure from within getting rid of the Mullahs and ruling himself. A foreign king backed by foreign troops will always have major issues with legitimacy.

It's been said many times that the people Trump likes best are those who opposed him and didn't cuck, then came over to him after they fought to the end and lost. Makes him think he's so great that he can even get strong people to come over to his side. He hates people who give in to him quick, he thinks they're weak. Rubio did get a lot of cred with Trump for not backing down in 2016

I don't think he intends to rule forever though. And I don't think a lot of Iranians intend him to either. The vibe that I've always gotten is that everybody had a neutrally positive opinion of Pahlavi but nobody really believed that he should run the country they wanted free elections. But he has been solidified as the revolutionary figure and I think that he will serve that purpose well. Honestly I don't think that Iran will have a problem in a transitionary parliamentary monarchy fashion eventually phasing out the monarchy. Maybe they don't. Maybe he does well enough that they keep it. I don't think his Jewish ties are that big of a deal. To be frank a lot of Iranians don't even bother to walk on the Israeli flags they paint in the doorways and on the crosswalks and opt to walk around them. And they've been doing that for a while. Iran historically has not had that hostile a relationship to Israel either before the rise of the mullahs. I really don't think global homo is on the agenda for iran. Regardless of how philosomitic Pahlavi may or may not be. Again I think this is more of a Berlin Wall situation. I think that the Ronnie population will be actually inoculated against islamism for a while how even to this day East Germany is still at odds with West Germany because of the progressive creeping.

Lil marco grew up. Sorry for double post but I love saying that and I still don't know how to insert quotes on mobile to where I don't have to type out the name manually and all that bullshit when editing a reply.

It's even funnier if you are familiar with the Book of Esther, Haman is a foreigner who manipulates the King of Persia against the Jews and builds a huge gallows to hang the Jewish leader Mordechai on. Through a series of coincidences (The Book of Esther is the only book of the Jewish canon that doesn't mention God at all), his plans fail and he ends up hanged on his own gallows.

Iran set up this complicated plan over 30 years to destroy Israel and through mismanagement, targeted assassinations, and lucky breaks, the mullahs are now in the position they set up Israel for.

I don't think he intends to rule forever though.
He wants a constitutional monarchy.

Pretty much this. Don't have the articles on hand, but he's well-spoken about not wanting to rule as a monarch and transitioning to some form of democratic system while acknowledging that if the people want him to be a monarch he will remain one as long as they want. It's a very observant approach for someone who could claim absolute power if he desired and likely is why he's achieved the purported support he has among the general Iranian populace.

Of course that doesn't discount any possible regime under him turning into a monarchist dictatorship, but from words alone he's saying the right things to solidify his claim.

Don't insult Yeltsin like that. He won multiple power struggles and set up the current system of his country.

The crowds are chanting for him shrug. He's the most convenient symbol of a non ayatollah government so they've latched on to him. None of these people rebelling give a fuck about the Jews except wishing they'd start bombing again

You're not the only one to notice. It would be fun like the jews "debt is paid".

I think Trump is making his final decision for strikes this Tuesday.

Can someone with a Twatter look up an LA pro-Pahlavi demonstration where a U-Haul truck with commie MEK slogans ran into a crowd of people?

Remember prior to the 1979 revolution Israel and Iran had a very tight relationship, so it makes complete sense he would be in contact with Israeli leaders. Furthermore in Iran they see the whole Palestine, Hamas and Hezbollah as just examples of the regime and it's waste of resources/life/money

Buddy they are literally dying with his name on their lips. Nothing against you personally but this is absolutely just fucking retarded.
