Iran Crisis & the 2026 War between Iran and the United States, Gulf States, and Israel - Please focus on news and coverage, not argumentation.

Zoroastrianism and Christianity are the two fastest growing religions in Iran atm. They by now combine for over 16% of the population, this was after they stood at around 3% combined in 2008.
Christianity has a long history in Persia, though I don't know where the idea from some in this thread that it was ever a good history comes from. The history of Syriac Christians in Sassanid Persia is basically a history of torture:

And the judges were enraged at him, and they commanded that he be bound and suspended, and that he be beaten with many lashes, without pity or restraint.

And they struck him again and again, until his flesh was split and torn, and his blood ran down upon the ground beneath him.

While he was being beaten, they said to him: “Spare yourself. Obey the command of the king. Sacrifice to the sun and to the fire, and you will live.”

But he answered them with a loud voice: “I will not sacrifice to things that are made, but to the One who made all things.”

And when they saw that he did not bend and that his resolve did not weaken, they ordered that the blows be increased, and they struck him more fiercely than before.

And his tormentors said to him: “Do you not see that your body is being destroyed, and that your blood is flowing out?”

He answered them and said: “The body is destroyed for a time, but the soul is not destroyed forever. Do what has been commanded to you.”

And they continued to beat him for a long time, and his wounds were opened, and his sides were laid bare, and his strength was spent, yet no cry of complaint came forth from his mouth.

And those who were standing by marveled and said to one another: “This man has no fear of suffering, and pain has no power over him.”

And again they urged him, saying: “Offer incense only, and you will be released. Your rank will be restored to you, and your honor will return.”

But he said to them: “You have authority over the body for a short time, but over the soul you have no authority at all.”

And when they saw that neither blows nor threats prevailed, they ceased from the scourging and pronounced the sentence of death against him, so that he might be made an example to all the Christians who were in the land of the Persians.

From the hagiographic Legend of Mar Qardagh. And that's just one of many texts discussing pre-Islamic persecution of Christians in Persia.

I feel like Persia suddenly becoming Christian to be even more impossible then going back to Zoroastrianism. At least the latter has a historical context and is the original faith of the region. I am trying to keep my pie in the schizo "what if's" somewhat possible.
Frankly it's probably likelier than a reversion to Zoroastrianism. As I've said before, Christianity is already bigger than Zoroastrianism in Iran atm. By the end of the Sassanid Empire, it was the largest religion in Mesopotamia (the imperial core and site of their capital, Ctesiphon) and there were Christian Sassanid princes who almost seized power from the Zoroastrian ones even before the final downfall. After said downfall, the son & heir of the last Sassanid Shah Yazdgerd III, Peroz III (so basically the Reza Pahlavi to the former's Mohammed Reza Pahlavi if you will) was a Christian convert who built churches & monasteries while in exile in China, and his son (Yazdgerd's grandson) Narsieh was also a Christian.

(On the subject of ancient Iranian history up to & including their fall to Islam, I think it's worth noting that by the end the Zoroastrians & Christians of the empire did unite to fight the Muslims together - for what little good that did them - and the Christians remained loyal to the fallen Yazdgerd to the very end, being the ones to bury him after a Zoroastrian noble betrayed & murdered him. Well, here's hoping such an alliance works out better for them now than it did 1400 years ago...)
No its not. Its the fourth largest monotheistic religion after Judaism.
That's not saying that much when there are only about 15-25,000 Zoroastrians in Iran according to their official census in (IIRC) 2016, and already 100,000+ Christians by the same figure. Now it can be argued that such a census would have good reason to underreport those figures, but in that case the Christian number is also higher still, I've seen estimates of 300,000 to even a million underground Christian converts in addition to the 100,000 open ones (who are mostly Armenians or Assyrians) floating around.

because there's no realistic way to purge over a third of your population for just supporting the previous regime.
Pol Pot would like a word.

This could lead to a butterfly effect that might result in islams decline in the long run. Which for countries like saudia could spell bad juju since it means their second money maker besides oil that is mecca and medina could be heading for a decline in the long run even if the amount of mudshits going to lick allahs vagina increases every year.
Your post is absolute copium but my dude you have no idea how much I want you to be right.

Shia aren't even Muslims to Sunnis, its why most of them sat by and watched as Iran got dismantled by Israel. If anything, the collapse of the Mullah regime is just another score for team Sunni.
Which is arguably OK, the Shia sects are the more retarded and violent outside of Wahabism.

The Western countries that are propping up and defending Muzzies like the UK and Canada would just increase their actions ten-fold, to ensure that Islam stays up in a way that they can use them to get rid of their White populations.
Hitler lamented there was no significant Islamic presence in Germany because of how retarded, obedient, and completely accepting of despotic repression Islamic populations were.
Really makes you think.

I am still holding out hope for a return to Zoroastrianism. Yeah, its not Christianity. But its an infinitely preferable religion to Islam. Especially since it does not hold conversion by the sword to be acceptable, unlike Islam.

I know, I know. Nothing ever happens. Especially not something as cool as a religion that is on life support suddenly making a resurgence.
Iran coming Zoroastian again would be the best thing to happen.

Zoroastrianism has become the faith of the Iranian nationalist, while Christianity keeps following the trend of Muslims being visited by Jesus Christ in their dreams and converting, which now accounts for 2 million converts worldwide.
God I want this so much. I can't be even the slightest bit mad about a niche and very coexistable monotheist religion like Zoroastrianism.
No Zoroastrian has sever been a suicide bomber.

Jewposting is eternal
The Eternal Jew begats eternal jewposting, the eternal Jew post highlights the existance of the eternal Jew. Its like Yin and Yang.

my nigger they have at best 15% support, mainly in the absolute shithole villages
True, but they have the guns and tanks so the 50% of the population that is willing to follow the orders of whoever has the monopoly on violence is going to tacitly support them.

“Trump has essentially decided to help the protesters in Iran. What he has not yet decided is the ‘how’ and the ‘when,’” they said.

“The spectrum ranges from a military option, namely strikes against regime targets, to cyber support against the regime, to providing Starlink systems to help protesters,” one source told the Post.

“While the Trump administration does not believe that the Iranian regime is collapsing, it definitely sees problems and cracks that did not exist a week ago,” the source added.

It just needs one little push. And it will come tumbling down.
This is the biggest deal since the fall of the Berlin Wall.
This is what I've been saying to everyone irl. It truly is. And it's fucking disgusting the media doesn't cover it.

Zoroastrians low key believe Allah is the malevolent force of evil Angra Manyu, who exists in opposition to Ahura Mazda the creator God. Zoroastrians believe that the creator came upon the dominion of darkness in which Angra Manyu dwelled and willed creation into it and drove it back. But Angra Manyu ever seeks to reclaim what was stolen from it. The fire lighting ritual, and the ritual of tending to the fires is done to create constant light and creation even in the face of destruction and primordial entropy. The sacred fires are kept constantly lit, and the priests are constantly growing trees to be turned into wood that are then used to feed the fire, which in theory so long as the faithful continue to nurture new growth to be turned into firewood and stoke the flame, means that a given fire could be lit continuously for thousands of years and across generations of people.

Its a rather fascinating philosophy, and you can see how it influenced later religions like Judaism and Christianity. The christian concept of being "A light", or God as "The Light of the World" is cribbed directly from Zoroastrianism. As a Christian myself, I can say that its far closer to my own understanding of God then what the Muslims believe, even if theologically they are off the mark. I wouldn't mind attending a fire festival to ward off Satan. But I would mind being told to turn off my brain and become a slave which is what they do at Mosques.

>the devil in Zoroastrianism is called Angry Man

Anyway muh cyber support and muh Starlink isn't gonna do shit, blowing up government stuff is the only thing that will have an effect. Someone should tell Trump he's little bitch Obama 2.0 if he doesn't send the planes, the bombing will start 5 seconds later

I don't trust any source not willing to give their name, but if that is true it means Green Berets are already in country. Which means knowing who to bomb shouldn't be too far behind.

It can be a delayed event like what happened in the west, where massive corruption scandals destroyed most of the political power of the church.
Islam as a political power cannot stop being a political force because Islam is a unified top down religion that instructs not just in the ways of heaven but also the ways of earth. It even sets out how non believers are to be taxed and how to handle loans and investment. One of the most boring, basic, earthly considerations imaginable. Tax and Banking policy. The idea that a nation of Muslims cannot by definition be enslaved to their own priests is absurd. The only "Secular" Muslims, are the ones who don't give a shit. I.e. Corrupt, immoral shit bags. It is utterly impossible for a Moral islamic ruler to emerge because to be Moral in Islam is to abase yourself to the Mosque. So the only rulers that can tell the Mosque to shut the fuck up are secretly apostates who don't believe in God.

In this respect, its the one thing the Islamic fundamentalists are quite correct about when they bitch about Muslim rulers like the Saudi Royal Family or the Egyptian President.

In addition it's almost impossible for a theological reformation or reframing because of the doctrine of temporal abrogation in Islamic jurisprecendence. Basically whenever you have two verses in the Quran or the hadiths that conflict youre supposed to take the chronologically later one. It just so happens that the most violent wretched shit is all the stuff at the end of the Quran and later on in the hadith. Because for the first part of Muhammad's conquest he was actually trying to be peaceful and convert until the Jews laughed him out of Mecca and that's when he started slaughtering people. They call it the mechan period and the medinan period.

What can be better about Iran ?

It is like cat's litterbox. You take poop out and another deuce drops.
If you take shits out of this country, others from other places will flow in.
If you bomb this country shit will fly everywhere.
Muhammad, shut the fuck up or i will slash your guts open and then search it because you sound like an arab monkey who steals 1000080187.jpg

Safavid Iran is actually similar in a lot of ways to Teutonic Order/Prussia
supposed to be a solid read. We'll get to see if Alfoneh's prediction (Revolutionary Guards take over, ending electoral politics & leaving the clerics as puppets) comes true quite soon.

The IRGC shall only have a future if they embrace the wisdom of the Taliban
Strangest of all, however, is the extraordinary degree of ideological sovereignty the Taliban seems to possess. It disdains the “blind imitation” of the West—taqlid is the Islamic term—that, in one way or another, characterizes other Islamic regimes. Unlike almost every other government in the world, it makes no reference to democracy, representation, or “the will of the people.” Its mandate comes from more ancient things—conquest, negotiation, and the will of God.
