Primarily, I wish for you to have a realistic view of the issue affecting the forum and what the origin of the disturbance is. I don't want A&N people to misrepresent things by fantasizing some explanation about why the people they don't like act the way they do. I believe my perspective represents the view of many people who don't post in A&N, even though some of the topics there interest them, and it goes some way towards explaining why the signal to noise ratio in Happenings-threads has gotten so bad, which IIRC you complained about at some point.
I think it would be nice if there was a way to have discussions about high profile politics or society related topics without those people effectively cancelling them through heckling. I don't mind them having their MAGA forum someplace, my issue is that this MAGA forum is the only politics/happenings discussion space on kiwifarms.
Ideally I would like to have a Happenings-subforum (I don't think there's a need for more than a general thread and a few individual threads for high profile events) for non-MAGA, and leave A&N as it is as a MAGA zone, either as a subforum here or spun off on its own URL, but I don't think the MAGA posters would respect such boundaries on their own accord, similar to how women-haters made a big fuss about there being a woman-only thread, and it sounds like there's already a shortage of moderation resources as is.
Even if there's nothing to be done, perhaps what I said will at some point be helpful for you figuring out some solution based on various factors, or at least help you understand where people are coming from when they make certain complaints. Most people simply quietly stop posting instead of describing issues, which is unhelpful for administrators.
