This isn't a question of sucking Trump's dick. He has consistently been one of the, if not THE, most wrong people in this, from his ignorance on the issues to his constant inflammatory tweets. The issue in this situation is that Renee was not some screaming crazy bitch with a knife like that other woman; but between poor communication, Renee's wife going "drive, baby, drive" and the situation going 0-100 retard really quickly, it becomes hard to COMPLETELY condemn the cop. He still should not have shot, but it is understandable (which is different from acceptable) as to why he did, especially when the car DID ding him as it was heading out; even if I highly doubt Renee meant to do it.

One of my pet peeves is that I have yet to find a nuanced take on this shooting in YouTube, and that's all I want. To see it from a perspective that isn't biased.

And I still haven't found one.

I think the issue with the nuanced take here is the general complexity of it, and the difference between the legality vs the morality of the ICE guy's shooting of her. A deep discussion of that ending with one of Tim Pool's catchphrases "It's complicated" (God, I miss when he WASN'T a grifter) unfortunately isn't as popular as a quick and easy "Oh, X party was in the wrong, and the other one was innocent."

I hear what you’re saying I just think the videos of the interaction are pretty clear and these other interpretations add context that doesn’t exist. I’m told she was aggressive. The video shows her smiling saying she’s not mad. I’m told she tried to hit him. The video shows she was turning away. And I disagree we must agree ICE did nothing wrong because someone is dead. This was not a life threatening situation for anyone involved and yet someone ended up dead.

We need to get OUT of the tribalism shit and look at the facts as they’re given to us. I don’t know why the right thinks calling her a lunatic terrorist and the Mong who shot her dindu nuffin and we’re supposed to just nod and accept it. It is unacceptable for anyone in law enforcement to fire their weapon under all but the most dire circumstances. Law enforcement is here to PROTECT US, sometimes at the cost of their own life.
