Tim was obviously trying to jump on the AI bandwagon so he could ride it like "boutique" guitar pedals, "indie" videogames, VR avatars, etc etc

But jumping on the bandwagon might have shot himself in the foot. In his other coattail grabbings he looked to draft into a monetized space..the problem with the a kerfuffle is that it tends to NOT monetize the individual creator of original material but funnels that to the AI maintainers...so it sort of flies in the face of his "I want to be an indie creator" deal as AI is sucking up those spaces in the model Tim is following. Yes, he doesn't have to pay for the resources output by AI...but he isn't going to get paid either.

As far as his disclosures, to borrow his worn out phrase (that he misuses as often as he gets it right) , he misses the forest for the tress.
In the vid, he talks about how he's tired of these 'randos' who glom on to him and he wants peers -- the problem is it's his narcissism that steers him to the glommy 'randos' b/c he NEEDS to be THE voice of authority in the room. That's why he super curates his social media presence, approving of and promoting 'glommy' praise and anyone with a counterpoint gets summarily blocked.
His idea of a "peer" is someone with clout, as he puts it. Any actual peer, he'll alienate and then cries "why did they dump me, they are so fake and fickle" to disqualify them.
The one thing Tim cannot tolerate is someone on equal footing - parity.

It's an interesting denial loop he's in.

FWIW I've driven one near Paris - they've been discontinued for abt 20 years. Smart just does electrics now
they (the roadster) were never brought to the US market,but they are getting close to the 25 year import allowance.
I think Tim's current car "erma", if I remember, is a smart fortwo so it's similar - thought I think the roadster had more reliability problems with the semi-auto tranny. they were sort of notorious for that
