Any predictions on shitshow specifics?
not a prediction, but, after this last month where he's doing it for fun b/c he lost his spark, as he put it - he's decided--
OK, this is going to be a shock---he doesn't want to build pedals and is committing to making a living doing unscripted videos and playing videogames
So we are on pattern, but the schedule
does seem much faster this time 'round
his dream is fairly typical fare - he wants a charming cottage in Japan where he will rant and play games by day and re-enact the nightlife of Lost in Translation by night.
So basically, his career goal is a life of leisure supported by people worshipping him for being Tim
I predict a worst case scenario where Tim will get a tiny bit of temporary social media traction, decide he's "as good as made it", burn his current position to the ground, and then be back in his panic mode where he (literaally) creis for money b/c he works so hard and untalented cishet white men who have no talent make all the money that Tim deserves.
I'm going to say around mid April (tax return time, not that Tim pays taxes) where it comes to a head
-----------
As far as his disclosures, to borrow his worn out phrase (that he misuses as often as he gets it right) , he misses the forest for the tress.
In the vid, he talks about how he's tired of these 'randos' who glom on to him and he wants peers -- the problem is it's his narcissism that steers him to the glommy 'randos' b/c he NEEDS to be THE voice of authority in the room. That's why he super curates his social media presence, approving of and promoting 'glommy' praise and anyone with a counterpoint gets summarily blocked.
His idea of a "peer" is someone with clout, as he puts it. Therein is the problem, it's just a denial veiled attempt at coattail climbing the social media ladder, which has really always been the goal. the "just for fun" is merely transitional rebranding to justify low numbers and create an underdog narrative.
He says in he dishes it out, but can also take it...from peers but not from internet randos. Of course, as he surrounds himself with internet randos, it's a self-reinforcing ego fortress. Any actual peer, he'll alienate and then cries "why did they dump me, they are so fake and fickle" to disqualify them.
The one thing Tim cannot tolerate is someone on equal footing - parity.
It's an interesting denial loop he's in.
Even in this video he talks about how pathetic and scared he was, yet at the time he would crow about how he had it all figured out and how he's been proven right "time and time again" (T.T. = Tired Timism)
But he's incapable of realizing/admitting/understanding that the Tim of present is in exactly the same place - crowing how he has it figured out, not admitting that Tim 2 years in the future will talk about how pathetic, scared and deluded 2026 Tim was (but 2028 Tim has it figured out, of course)
