I find it funny that all of these people who claim to have so much empathy aren't shedding a single tear. Someone just died right in front of them, but the only thing they can think to do is latch on to more RaGE! At this point, they're only there because the left told them that if they want to be considered good boys and girls, they need to stand up for poor, working class (who conveniently aren't working) immigrants. After all, illegally crossing the border is like jaywalking and shouldn't be enforced.
Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I remember when public figures tried to conduct themselves with dignity in public. You didn't drop your tough guy words because you knew it was unprofessional to do so, and you don't want to sound like an uneducated buffoon if you want to convince people that you can keep your head level for the job. Unfortunately, everyone is too addicted to the rage-bait and using 'thuper tough guy words' to show everyone just how much empathy they supposedly have.
If Trump had said it, the ensuing riot would have gotten him impeached again for stirring up violence. When the left does it, it's just imparting radical empathy into their inherently violent NPCs.
That's how he gets deniable plausibility. The "be kind" crowd always does this.
