Military members are a protected class under federal law. Just as how a real estate agent can't deny the sale of a house to a military member over their protected status a hotel is considered temporary residency and thus can't deny service to protected individuals just because of their job.
Ice agents can't reside inside the rooms of anyone who is within the hotel as that would be a violation of the 3rd amendment, but them requesting a room to stay in is not a violation of the third amendment.

Control of the Greenland-Iceland-UK gap is essential to US security. it was where the US navy was going to fight the Soviet navy during WW3. A lot of battles in WW2 took place there as well. The gap is where HMS hood was destroyed by KMS Bismarck. The hood was trying to stop the Bismarck from escaping into the Atlantic proper to harass US convoys. Whom ever controls the gap controls the north Atlantic, northwest passage, Barents sea and polar ocean.

During WW2 the US/UK invaded Greenland and Iceland and occupied both islands for the duration of the war for the above reasons. It should not have been returned, like the USSR did not return eastern europe.

Many states have laws requiring some time off to vote, often paid and at least usually not counting against regular PTO. Have not validated these, but here's one listing. Per the link, 23 states guarantee a couple of hours' paid leave (sometimes dependent on poll hourd vs working hours), 7 guarantee unpaid, and the rest don't have guaranteed time off.
