This is why I was thinking she was taking the script, writing English subtitles and going from there. You know, something that requires actual effort. But no. She's now literally retarded. You can't convince me otherwise.

That would at least qualify as a career. I mean you show that you can translate and localize your subs while getting the timing on the captions right then you could carve out a little niche for yourself. But this? It's monkey work at best or since this is Armzy we'll say orangutan work.

Fail out of community college in early 20s, do a few God awful laughable 'movies' and videos in late 20s. Spend entire 30s tweeting and taking 8 months to compile a stalking video on some no-name guy in the industry. E-beg constantly then go to disney and buy computers with the proceeds all publicly. For years.

That means != hirable. Ever. Josh gonna have to support her ass selling fent or whatever he does (probably why she's mad her drug pal maduro's fucked). She dug her grave 10x more than spoony which by now could probably, if he wasn't so mentally ill, try to do something with his life but won't cause he's lazy. She probably won't do translations because her Japanese is too poor for her to qualify for the job. But considering she's an admitted slacker, which honestly doesn't surprise me about any CA person, they all slacked off, she probably only has job security in that anyone else would find the work too mind numbing to bother with.

I don't know what her husband does for a living but if he's not the breadwinner, they're royally fucked.

Really? At this point just for anime Steve Blum, Matt Mercer(and a bunch of the rest of his critical role pals), Johnny Bosch(yes the power rangers guy), and plenty of others would be more known than Vic just for anime. Vic has hardly done shit in the past 7 or 8 years but even then Steve Blum always had more roles(to the point of him being one of the reasons so many anime casts on cartoon network sounded the same).

Definitely. There really is just a long list of people that even 10 years ago I'd have put way ahead of Vic in terms of being well known in anime. Even at the height of his popularity, it was mostly a vocal minority of female weebs between 15 and 25, who liked dubs, and were fans of a handful of specific shows and most people outside of that didn't know him or didn't care until the kickvic/iswv shit popped off where suddenly so many culture warriors on both sides were definitely long time anime fans(they were not, they were grifters) and specifically fans of Vic that were supportive or angry at him because they felt "betrayed" or whatever the hell.

Also Steve Blum has a pretty serious presence in Western animation too, so he basically has two audiences. Plus vidya for people who care about vidya VAs.

What is even the audience that she's targeting/"defending"? Sure, there are a lot of people watching anime, and there's definitely deaf viewers among them. But how many of those people refuse to read the standard, translated subs and instead want transcripts of the dubbed dialogue? Is there a "sub subtitles" vs "dub subtitles" debate going on among deaf weebs that I didn't know about?
