2025 US and Venezuela Conflict - Operation Just Cause 2: 2 Just 2 Cause

These fuckheads don't no history. Since when does one country have the right to prosecute the president of another. Have they heard of the Nuremberg trials? The current world order is based on International Law and Obligations that sprang from prosecuting Nazi leaders FFS.

I'm no fan of the Venezuelan Government. I also think Trump's second term has been a massive disappointment. Having said that, I don't like this collapse of the current rules based international order. The reason we created the UN and hoped it could be used to resolve differences, was because of the destructive powers of nuclear weapons. I know that the rules based international order has not ben effective, and its infested with leftists who have massively over expanded its scope to the detriment of most people. However, we are breaking down of the current international framework without a clear replacement apart from 'might makes right'.

The longer term impacts of this decision could be massive.
This has been the default for decades, the Trump administration is just more honest about it - foregoing the figleaf of muh international rules based dogshit. If the US is dominant it shits on whoever it wants, if China is dominant it does the same.

I was a little Looting. Today all Caracas are taked by chavista Paramilitaries, so it's imposible get some food because all bussiness are closed due the attack. My friends and family in other states said it's was equal: Chavista paramilitaries (colectivos) took streets with National Guard and some Armed Forces soldiers.
Did you loot anything cool or was your focus mainly on getting food? Stay safe, kiwi bro.

Like a Dream. Really I was sleeping when it happened. My dog bark and I saw the sky in yellow. First feel I was a dream but really I was real. I saw the planes near the roof of my apartament and the Delta Helicopters. I am living near a military Base (Tiuna Fort)
God bless you friend. Stay safe. I pray things get better for all my Venezuelan friends. I truly hope Drumpt doesn't fuck it up. Taking out the dictator who's been starving the country was a good start, I'm just cautious about how things will end.

People constantly cry about American imperialism but seem not to understand how true it is. You are all part of the American empire and if you don’t comply this is what happens.
I wonder if American ZOGbots are ashamed to only ever fight such laughably weak opponents.
I mean, Venezuela, seriously? What, was Grenada not available for a rematch?
“Nooo I’m a small weak brown loser you can’t bully me it’s not fair!!!” This didn’t work for you in high school and it will not work in geopolitics either.

rules aren’t real when you’re the boss and you’re implying America ever cared about or followed international law, yeah America and their Soviet bros were really careful about not doing war crimes in ww2 and randomly invading dozens of countries afterwards. This is all beyond trump anyway, this is time deep state glownigger shit, the war and regime changes in South America will continue even if a democrat wins 2028.

Since we did the same thing to Noriega and our courts ruled that it was fine because Noriega was under federal indictment

Why are Hispanics talking about naming their kids after American organizations?

It's okay. It's a usual joke in Venezuela due the high rates of "exotic" names (really mix parents' names)

I live in bumfuck nowhere so there isn't the heavy militarization people are reporting in Caracas and other cities here, but we still had to buy a lot of canned food and provisions just in case. Everyone was crazy, buying stuff in bulks. It's gonna be a crazy week.

It's impossible to loot because Caracas right now is heavy militarized. Even take a picture o video, can be motivation to be arrested or killed.
Keep your heads down and stay safe, the commies are going to be running around in a frenzy and posting on an American antipodean birb forum might get you noticed. If you aren't using Tor or a VPN start nownownow

I'm pretty sure it's just a joke about naming their kids that out of gratefulness lol some South Americans are really happy about the news

I’ve just realized that this entire operation is a giant gamble, the succes of which depends almost entirely on a new Venezuelan regime that subsequently submits to the demands of the US.

If they actively resist, then I don’t see a way to really win. He says they will send soldiers on the ground, sure and they can definitely defeat the Venezuelan military, but not without losses. Are they going to invade and occupy tiny zones around the nation’s oil fields and governmental buildings? Are they going to accept the losses and costs of a constant guerrilla war and maintain and active occupation?

Seems like the costs could easily be on the level of another forever war reminiscent of what happened in the Middle East.

In addition the Chinese and Russians have significant Influence and investments in Venezuela. Both of them are currently looking to gobble up land, so I think they’d be more than happy to finance and support Venezuelan insurgents and make any oil venture or regime influence extremely difficult.

In short if they bow Trump has made an extremely cost effective foreign policy decision. If they do not however, then this could bog down US resources for a significant period with the results not being entirely different than what happened to Afghanistan. Let’s see where the dice lands.

We'll smack their military around from the air some more until the officers are tired of getting sodomized without lube if they don't get the idea. China and Russia have no effective way to influence anything with the US sitting over the country, this is why to be a great power you need a global navy
