While this is true, there's also the slight factor that an amphibious assault on Taiwan, even without US support, is going to be pretty damn hard and a costly mission. China can take Taiwan if they can literally blockade them and starve them, but we just gotta assume at this point that US, S. Korea and Japan are not going to allow that to happen. The assault itself on Taiwan is very hard, there are not that many beaches to land, and their military can be focused there. Taiwanese military is no slouch either.

The idea of "anti-war protests" and people swinging "stop bombing Venezuela" signs in any regard is fucking hilarious to me because of how transparently it shows that Israel/Palestine is basically these peoples' only conceptions of what international conflict looks like.

What do you actually mean when you write something like this? If the point is supposed to be about Congressional approval, there hasn't been an official Declaration of War from them since WW2. We can play devil's advocate and say that Authorized Use of Military Force (AUMF) are used in their place, but even that doesn't account for, say, the Libyan intervention. These being the case, what law do you feel was violated?

Trump could bomb Israel on behalf of Palestine and these idiots would still protest. They dont actually care about any of the shit they are protesting. The only thing they care about is their fervant belief that Trump is "Le bad" and everything he does is "Le bad".

Newfag international law doesn't matter, because newfag international law, briefly stated, is: shithole dictatorships can do whatever they want to the US, but the US isn't allowed to respond ever. So newfag international law can fuck itself. Old school international law, the US has litrully dozens to hundreds of acts of war perpetrated on it by places like Iran and Venezuela that it could respond to with force whenever the fuck it wants

Exactly that. American liberalism as it currently exists seems extremely hypocritical at a glance, but it starts to make a lot more sense when you see it for what it is: their singular belief is "advocate for the opposite of whatever Trump says/does."

When you start to look at it with that perspective, it becomes entirely reasonable to see a reality in which they start to defend even their worst enemies.
