REPORTER: "The U.S. has something of a mixed track record of ousting dictators..."

POTUS: "Not with me, they don't... with me, we've had a perfect track record of winning... If you look at Soleimani, you look at al-Baghdadi... you've had only victories."

So to our Kiwis in the US. What was it like to wake up to find out that a war started and ended while you were sleeping?
I heard Caracas was attacked while scrolling my news feed during a bout of insomnia early this morning, around 5:00am. Assumed it was just another round of nose-bloodying as happens from time to time. Saw some redditors seething about Maduro being captured around 6am. "Wait wat?" I wanted to sleep in but I had to come and see what my fellow kiwiniggers had to say about the situation because reddit is useless and their commentary was limited to Trump being a war criminal and this being the bell tolling on the american empire because Rome I guess

Got to my computer, started catching up on the 20-30 pages that happened overnight. Realize that not only did it happen while I was asleep, but it started after I fell asleep on the couch and ended before I woke up to brush my teeth, take my old man meds, and actually go to bed

I'm now simultaneously proud of how impossibly cleanly it was handled and disappointed that this is a 'happened' rather than a 'happening' and there's probably not going to be any real updates to keep up with in the short term lol

It's hilarious. You get to watch all the stages the communists went through last night at once, from delusional gloating and joking about how many American soldiers were going to die, to crying and seething how the Great Satan needs to be eliminated. It makes it all seem so mundane too, like an entire country's trajectory can be changed in the blink of an eye, and for you it's just a pleasant surprise one Saturday morning as you wait for you coffee to brew.

Hell, if this is what a war for oil is like then maybe it ain't so bad.

19th century: wars for Caribbean fruit 21st century: wars for Caribbean oil.
Bush and Obama really poisoned the idea of a war for oil.
Wars for land and resources have been the driving force behind war for millennia. The thing is, you actually have to obtain the land and resources, not just muck around shooting at sandniggers for a decade while getting nothing material out of it.

POTUS: "We want to surround ourself with good neighbors. We want to surround ourself with stability. We want to surround ourself with energy... we need that for ourselves, we need that for the world—and we want to make sure we can protect it."

I was groggy and thought the Trump post about Maduro getting captured was a troll meme.

If you get abducted as a president it better be by fucking aliens :story:
When the ayys drop you off after they get done probing you and your security detail asks what happened you can go "I don't want to talk about it." A much more private shame.

I am in 100% full support of the US doing regime change operations all across the American hemisphere. Heck, I think it would be in our best interest if we CONQUER the large part of the Americas and made them into our territories or colonies! Big stick diplomacy reigns king!

I'd love to go vacation to Mexico or Cuba without the risk of getting beheaded by cartels or getting extrajudicially arrested and punished by a corrupt government

Brownoids, third worldists and leftists are seething because what they've been gleefully calling a "dying empire" since november 2024 is in fact not dying and can easily kick their shit in, unlike the Kremlin ape who can't take over a shithole on his doorstep or the other faggot in Beijing who does nothing put peacock and pay tiktokers to glaze him.
We're at our weakest and we can still turn assholes inside out.
If that doesn't tell you that the destruction of America is internal and intentional then I don't know what will.

Kinda shows you how easy it really was to just handle all these issues all this time. Every other president tried all these diplomacy moves, international pressures, etc. Trump just says fuck you and captures him and resolves the issue. Probably ultimately sets a bad precedent that the US is willing to just regime change your ass, but thats conjecture on my part and remains to be seen.

Can we do Mexico next?
Bush scooped up Chavez back in the day, but Socialism hadn't been given enough time to completely fail, so the people revolted and Chavez was released. Near 2 decades later, they're all out of other people's money and ready to be done with it.
