I will admit, it is indeed a bit optimistic, but the similarities are there (de facto leader/widely considered a dictator, war on drugs/cartels, etc.) When it comes to on-the-ground warfare, I'm fairly certain that with a combination of years of economic turmoil, corruption, and overall preference to loyalty rather than actual development, most of the Venezuelan forces would be extremely inefficient in terms of actual guerilla fighting, and honestly I'm certain that some of them will just surrender outright and even fight on the side of the Americans (along with a few civilians I would assume, judging by Maduro's low approval rating).

At this point, I believe this will go down kind of how the whole Panama invasion went, most likely it'll be quick, and perhaps even fewer casualties.

Guess it is time to put my theories to the test.
