Korea was its own animal. Nobody in the west expected Chairman Mao to bum rush the Korean lines with soldiers who didn't have shoes.
As for Maduro, I don't think too many Venezuelans are going to be crying over him getting the Saddam Hussein treatment. There was a time the Venezuelans were some of the largest customers of Ford trucks because of all the oil money they had. Then his ass came along and fucked shit up so badly that people were lining up at the Columbian border to buy food and diapers. I'm more worried about the drug gangs turning the country into Narco Somalia and harassing any occupying force that has to hold shit down.
The wildcard here is how Russia and China will react. The Chinese in particular would love to test some of their military hardware against us and Venezuela might be the theater for it. Trump did a good job shutting down the Indo-Pakistani war that flared up because China was selling their hardware to Pakistan and they definitely wanted to see how it'd perform. I'm pulling for the US. I'm also putting my faith in Trump as Commander in Chief to lead us to a swift and decisive victory.

If they don’t want to die then they can stop taking funds from our geopolitical rivals and killing Americans with drugs. I hope Cuba is next. Then Mexico. Fuck our enemies. It's going to be another one of those happenings nights where I stay up with a stream on in the backround of the happening and doomscrolling twitter about said happening too. 
Russia will seethe, and do fuck all. We already saw it with Syria, and prior to that, Armenia.
As for China, they are not interested in Venezuela, this simply gives them more legitimacy to escalate against Taiwan. That's why they are supporting Russia against Ukraine, and why they probably welcome US invading Taiwan: it legitimizes superpowers using military power in their local area.
So yeah, China will be eager to test their stuff against US. But it will happen in the Pacific.
