I haven't really seen it brought up much here, but it certainly is an unpopular opinion just about everywhere, and especially on the Left, but I have caught shit from both ends for different parts of my opinions. I've gotta be careful to articulate myself properly here.
- I am fine with trans adults. If a kid declares themselves to be trans, the most a parent should do is buy them gender neutral clothes until they are old enough to make a fully informed decision. Being uncomfortable and confused about your body is normal for teenagers. That we have idiots out here telling them it's because they might be trans is fucking stupid.
- The current trans (herein called "nuTrans") movement doesn't actually represent real trannies (well, it does on paper, but it does so much more harm to them)
- The "Trans Umbrella" either doesn't exist, or is far more limited than the current trans community would like to think it is.
- The trans community, and trans people as a whole, would benefit from jettisoning the shitty "trans activists." I'm not talking about Zoe who fights for healthcare or against discrimination. I'm talking about the faggots who scream about pronouns, want misgendering to be a hate crime, think the term "trap" is a slur, demand access to locker rooms, etc.
- Trans people should wholly reject AGPs. Full stop.
- While I am sympathetic to self-ID people insofar as they have fallen victim to the nuTrans movement, they once again shouldn't be considered to be actual trans people. It's the self-diagnosis problem that the tism and ADHD (and now tourettes, DID, and every other fucking mental disorder) have, but way more retarded.
So, to actually explain. I have worked in tech for a while now, and I have met/worked with/been friends with a fair few trans people as a result (mostly MtF, but a couple FtM). In my experience, most of them just want to blend in and be left alone by society. They'd be on hormones, do their makeup, do their best to pass, etc, and just live a normal life. Apparently back in the day, all the trans communities were more about passing, not getting clocked, how/where to get hormones if doctors wouldn't/couldn't prescribe them, how/where to get blood tests, etc. Shit like "god it's annoying to get my driver's license and name changed." Compared to the absolute faggotry of today, that's pretty normal stuff. But then along come these faggots who demand that everyone out themselves as trans, flaunt their identity and preferred pronouns everywhere, etc. It's progressed to such a point that you don't even have to put in any effort to be trans. You just wake up one morning, say "I'm a lady," and bam, you're magically trans. This shit started creeping in in like the early 2010s, starting with weird pronouns and shit (one of the most annoying people I've ever worked with was some dude in like 2012 or 2013 who claimed he was trans but would change his pronouns almost weekly. Glad they shitcanned him. He wrote shit code, too).
Had trannies cut it off right then and there, they wouldn't be in the mess they're in today.
Here's the problem with the whole nuTrans movement. Being trans is no longer about being diagnosed with dysphoria, or being dysphoric about your gender. It's now about just wanting it. "I wanna be a woman" congratulations, you're a woman. Like ????? Does
no one in the trans community see why this is fucking BONKERS? Look, I will be among the first to say I am sympathetic to (actual) trans people's predicament here. "What if the person whose horseshit I want to call out is actually trans and just doesn't have the resources to transition?" Like, sure, that could happen once in a very blue moon. But when you have Moonbeam Toaster Arson III, Zam/Zoop/Kadoop, come the fuck on. That's not a real thing.
Be so fucking serious.
(This has also had the hilarious knock-on effect of nuTrans faggots telling crossdressers and femboys that they are trans, even though they categorically are not).
I will never deny an AGP's right to mutilate themselves in the name of their shitty fetish, but I will also never recongnize it as anything more than a fetish, and trans people should follow suit instead of trying to welcome them into the community. AGPs
do not want what trans people want/need. At best they just get turned on by wearing women's clothes and looking like a woman, or by the idea of themselves being a woman. But more and more commonly, they want to force others to nonconsensually participate in their fetish. Trying to fit AGPs under the trans """""umbrella""""" has done irreparable damage to (actual) trans people and to society as a whole.
I have genuinely heard trans people say they're afraid to call it out
because of the way the Left handles wrongthink. Sophia Narwitz has a pretty good video about it on YouTube.
