💤 Inactive Andrew Dobson / Tom Preston / CattyN - STOP DOING SEXIST CRAP

I'm not pouring through thousands of pages of tism so I'm just going to ask-why does dobson hate Anime?

As the others have mentioned, he had some bad experiences with an anime club he ran. Apparently, they let him do all the work, mocked the shows he picked and at some point someone usurped the iron throne of anime club from beneath his rotund behind. I assume he was just as lovely as ever, made an ass of himself and at some point people just ditched his ass.

He's an elitist snob when it comes to anime, too. He only watches incredibly mainstream stuff, yet pretends to be some sort of connaisseur and scoffs at people enjoying (say) Dragonball, while furiously fapping over Ranma or Detective Conan.

Also, he severely looks down on the artstyle of anime and how it has influenced others in the west, something he was very well-known for doing, despite drawing in a hodgepodge of styles lifted from anywhere between Rumiko Takahashi and Slayers.

I remember he drw one of his syac..."comics" about him as the victim because his peers wanted to watch, oh no naruto

He also blames it for "ruining" his art style, as the DA rant about "why don't my comics sell?" can tell you. (The one where a girl said the art was unappealing and looked a cheap Dragonball rip-off.)
Just found it!

This excuse only highlights his laziness even more. As long as you study and develop certain characteristics you can draw in any style, so if your own is "unappealing", practice and change it into something better. But again, that'd require more work than sitting down on Twitter or going to McDonald's, so he doesn't do it.

It was probably the anime club thing, but it's also been suggested that people compared his stuff to various anime and Dobson REEEEEEEEEed because he's obviously super-original and never copied anything in his life, you dang dirty trolls, and he reacted by claiming he never watches anime and in fact hates the stuff, so how could he be ripping off anime?

"Hur Dur playing Mario means you support monarchy"

"Everything is Political"

So what does bitching on Twitter mean? Not the actual messages where you have your political viewpoint, but the act of tweeting. What problems does it solve, what does it say about society? But more importantly Dobbles, what does it say about you?

As for this post, it's a combination of things. Some parts irritation, but mostly I'm just laughing at you, because you insist your worldview is the only thing that matters, and your inflated head can't see the real world for what it really is. But hey, stare at the clouds all you want Dobson.

Also, SYAC incoming, something he thinks the ol' boys at 4Chan are going to dislike. Or they'll just mock it like that comic of his he thinks is popular with the site.

Someone really needs to ask how far "everything" in "everything is inherently political" goes. If they can admit anything then that "everything" falls apart. I've joked about it before but I seriously doubt people as a whole make their bowel movements into a political message. Is breathing air or drinking water "inherently political"? What's the political message behind being a comic artist, not what they draw but the political message of being a comic artist itself?

I don't normally compare anyone to Chris, because Chris is a unique sort of mess and I'm not really familiar with a lot of his foibles, but doesn't he often make laughable threats like this to the trolls?

I find this to be incredibly funny because usually when people do that with anime they choose Studio Ghibli, not super popular TV anime. But the cast of Dragonball/Z is 99% (big) muscly men fighting so of course he's going to turn his nose up at it. I'm surprised he isn't super into Sailor Moon though since the cast is 95% female and even has actual lesbians. Maybe his failed attempts at relationships make romance too difficult for him.

Someone needs to tweet this MovieBob.

I like how he draws a kid getting kicked in the balls. Classic Dobby. Also the girl Dobbo is drawing being sexually harassed is Lum from Rumiko Takanashi's comics... aka drawer of Ranma, a style he is known for completely ripping off, even that very artwork looks like it.
It is his sexual fantasy.

Bobby probably supports the Peach monarchy because vagina. So that's all good.

"I wonder what it would be like to have fans. I bet it's nice to have fans. Boy, I guess I'm out of room to tweet. Check out my new work

Th-Th-Th That's all folks.

Not only that, but even the guy that's stealing Lum's bra is pretty much Happosai, a character from Rumiko's Ranma 1/2 that is known for stealing underwear...

So he manages to rip off Rumiko in several ways (art, character design, storytelling), in the very same panel where he attacks her.

Anyway, I know the public can't wait to see Dobon's anti-4chan comic. So I took his current artistic trend and studied his brand of in-depth political and social commentary, and from this I have extrapolated what the comic will most likely look like:

Considering his comics have devolved from an attempt at relatable artist quirks to 5 minute doodles of his twitter posts, I wouldn't be surprised if you're right on the money.
