Lillian Bonsignore who Mamdani just appointed as FDNY commissioner basically admitted that she was a DEI hire because she’s lesbian.

This is from when she was celebrated as the first woman and first gay EMS Chief:“

“There are some young LGBTQ members that maybe don’t see this as a possibility for them and I want them to know that there’s nothing that can stop them from finding success.”

I'm happy to have NY as a window into the madness. I hope they go balls to the wall honestly.

It's like a SimCity playthrough after you get bored and start fucking with your city on purpose.

They are so retarded they literally put all their scam businesses right next to each other.

People will just REFUSE to admit this shit is happening. It's crazy how thick the wall of silence is from the usual suspects.

I really wanna see a "VANCE TO CITY: DROP DEAD" headline in the future.

It’s over for Vivek. Acton found the tweet.
"Found"? Wasn't this a famous tweet he made that led to him getting decoupled from the Trump transition team? It was, like, a year ago.

One of the most frustrating things about Vivek's tweet and general misunderstanding of American excellence is that we don't traditionally lionize the jock or the nerd. America traditionally held the citizen-farmer (and scholar-athlete) in the highest regard. These are people who are thoughtful, well read, and physically accomplished.

Vivek's mindset is so alien and oriental that he totally misses what actual American excellence is. The Jeffersonian core of civic America—the educated working man who sustains his community, reads, and is religious—is laughable to Vivek. He cannot understand it. To him, those are just rubes who are too stupid to make their kids spend their childhoods in scam science fairs and cram schools.

As a kid, I won a science fair once. I also once grew a fruit-bearing plant. Growing that plant from seed was far more meaningful, memorable, and accomplishing than making a useless poster board in a scam competition designed to get Indian kids into Harvard. But if you ask Vivek what he thinks is more laudable for a kid to achieve, I have no doubt what his answer would be. I think that says everything about his connection to American culture.

There are lots of characteristics sentient beings have have that LLMs do not due to state an memory
Late but, regarding reasons for not being conscious, a repeated reason in that list is the inability to learn from experience, or learn even labeled data after training is complete... theres general problems thats specific to how training is done in an LLM now, but there are alternative architectures are around but are not used by tech giants as theyre unproven or not viable to train at scale yet. Particularly Id recommend reading about alternative learning architectures from the current meta, being back propagation, into something like forward forward; theres many variations of it but the idea is mostly the same. Its an architecture that does not require a backwards pass, and as a result do not require extra infrastructure at training time vs inference time. Additionally it can use constrastive methods to learn at inference time based on unlabeled data, so this can be used to "learn on the fly"

Statefulness is another thing that can be addressed in RNNs, which exist in LLM formats like RWKV, but need some adjustments to have a true state that can expand and collapse in scope in a structured way, so statefulness is definitely on the horizon...

The real issue is externalized knowledge lookup, the model cannot untagle syntactical knowledge from trivia or contextual knowledge, and so its not simple to develope a sort of lookup db that can be expanded on the fly... so I believe thats still the missing piece.

My 2 cents. conscious as you said is not well defined, but from my readings on it I can say that I believe in levels of consciousness, and that these components would bring it to a higher level of being than it is now.

In American education system news:
Meet Nakia Hardy, the incoming Superintendent for Franklin County Schools in North Carolina.

Nakia went on a podcast and promoted DEI polices which include “understanding implicit bias, equitable practices, and culturally responsive pedagogy."

She says she focused on pushing race/gender-based curriculum on children to create an "inclusive" environment.

Whatever happened to actually TEACHING kids shit like cursive, math, English, and basic computer skills.

Thoughts? I’ve seen multiple sources (most far more reputable than the Guardian) claim around 650,000-700,000. AFpost is also Fuentes-affiliated so it would have an interest in convincing people that deportation efforts are a failure.

Also @Fatpacks I know what you’re gonna say so just get on with it already

Deportations and Removals are two distinct things. A deportation is when there's an order to remove an individual. If said individual decides to take family members with him to his country of origin, which is rather common and one of the few privileges given to deportees, they are counted as "removals".

So if you have 330,000 deportations and, on average, they bring one family member with them, that's a total of 660,000 removals.

"Yes, you lost everything in that fire. But have you considered that our fire chief likes getting her snatch licked by other women? Doesn't that make it better?"
a) exactly what stuff did I have
b) are there videos I can watch

fuck cursive
but big ups to general computer skills

I had a bunch of different machines in my hands growing up, TI-94a, Atari 800xl, some gay apple shits, IBM pc jr, a lot of different machines is important so you learn fundamentals of how machines think instead of a specific OS

I've always found this blatant favoritism towards the certain classes amusing, but for a very specific reason.

Most people, at the very least as of when all this shit started, believed the system was fairly meritocratic, competence would rise until it hit the peter principle, etc. The left meanwhile, generally held that the lack of their chosen retards in top ranks was signs of systemic discrimination rather than failures of competency, while they actively ignored the surprising number of gay men at higher ranks in organizations. They then present one major facet of the issue as being the message it presents to young people who might become part of the chosen retard groups - That it'd somehow communicate to them that they can't succeed, and that'd damage their indoctrination numbers.

So, to fix this issue, they've engaged in favoritism and cultural nepotism to force these retards into positions they're sorely incapable of handling, setting them up for failure in the process. These failures sour public opinion on these kinds of people, and set up the very same negative stereotypes that they claim to fight off. Public opinion changes from "I don't know if chosen retards are any good at top roles, I've never seen one" as they were scarce enough to just not have enough rolls of the dice to reliably take top spots, to "Chosen retards are incompetent, every one I've seen in leadership roles shits the bed" as their sight is distorted to only see the high profile failures that get shoved in their face.

They're actively setting up their own discrimination by engineering their own failures, and then lamenting that the world is getting meaner to them for completely mysterious reasons.

It's like he got his understanding of our culture from a 1980s movie. If he took a moment to look at the data, Americans consistently show the highest respect for men in uniform, first responders, genuine entrepreneurs, farmers, and similar.

Sports figures do not make the top categories. Politicians rank extremely low. Can you guess where scummy fake pharma flippers rank?

Here's the full 45 minutes of the dude investigating Minnesota fraud stuff. It was posted in full on this tweet.

I just watched this whole thing and it makes me want to ... petition my government for redress.
It's completely fucking insane and retarded what is going on there.
And you better believe this shit is happening in at least 50% of the country, not just Minnesota.
