3. They are able to develop new concepts to make sense of the unfamiliar.
4. Their memories are couched in experience. I don't just remember that the Twin Towers were hit on 9/11. I remember where I was. I remember that I learned it from the TV in the student lounge. I remember that I was on my way to English class. I remember how it made me feel. I remember having a conversation with my roommate about it.
5. They can permanently update their knowledge in light of new information.

They have a concept of "true" and "false." The only concept governing a LLM is "most probable next token."

This is the one I wish more normies could understand. It's the crux of so much. You can try to get around it, but that's what an LLM is and that does mean there are limits on what it can do.

This is one of the reasons I think high up people who are in love with it are just missing the forest for the trees. You can easily get LLMs to give you contradictory directions in conversations, all at a whim. It does not care. Anyone who is familiar with strategic thinking knows that's an issue and a hard constraint.
