I mean I had some really bad experiences with French H1B1 visas. There are a lot more of them I noticed since 2019. Usually through tech jobs and it's very hard to fire or send them back and they go under the radar because they are white. One kept suing people for defamation. His job was funding his legal fees for some chicks accusing him of sexually harassing women on tinder during his free time. I have run into dozens of such cases. So..... maybe...

I don't know much, but this doesn't make sense. You can't even transfer in between companies on an H-1B visa so what visa are they presumably coming in on if they're doing this roundabout thing you're describing to skirt the $100k?

Especially considering emigrating from Canada to the US is damned near impossible due to the hurdles for any kind of visa, especially after 9/11. I looked into it when I was in my late teens, and most people have zero clue how much the US system blocks Canadian citizens from moving to the US.

We desperately need to pass a law federally that says when a judge releases a known violent offender or repeat offender on low or no bail, that they can be held criminally responsible for whatever crimes were committed while they were awaiting trial.
Also, I think every single one of us know exactly why that judge let that guy out...
