Tamers12345 was a one of a kind sonic autismo who was obsessed with the failed cartoon Sonic Underground. He got his start a couple years after Chris Chan went viral so he was spared the majority of the trolling and was able to create his own expanded Sonic Underground series using MS Paint, Photoshop and some text to speech app. The results are obviously cringe and terrible but Tamers has an AMAZING sense of self aware unhinged and utterly absurd 2000s edgelord humor that will make you legitimately cry from laughter. His videos will be super nostalgic for any early/core millennial, all of the early 2000s tropes are there. licensed Cool kid music being used illegally, overpowered self inserts, rape/sexist/racist/pedophile/shit/piss jokes and random acts of violence ranging from slaps to school shootings started over basically nothing are constant and the animations are hilariously old school, like 2004 NewGrounds old school. I genuinely cannot do it justice his old videos are the purest kino on the internet and you won't understand until you see it all like I have.

Tamers had made this kind of content for years and it actually had a point! There was a genuine story hidden in the degeneracy and madness and it culminated in a feature length film made by one autistic mad man using MS-Paint and photoshop! It's god damn glorious. Just over an hour and 20 minutes of the most unbelievably entertaining shit you've ever seen. I've watched it at least 3 times it's genuinely great. Sadly he flew too close to the sun and got his channel nuked and he also went to the dark side and makes low effort shit for bronies now since they'll kiss anyone's ass if they pander a bit and they give him way more views than he got with sonic which genuinely sucks. Here's my thread tax. James Hampton was lonely janitor that had a twinge of autism mixed with some variant of religious schizophrenia. He constructed an art piece called the Throne of the Third Heaven of the Nations' Millennium General Assembly also wrote a still undeciphered book called St. James: The Book of the 7 Dispensation. Below is a picture of his sculpture made literally out of garbage that wasn't found until after his death. They're in the Smithsonian now.

Another piece of religious autism that I really enjoy is the Ave Maria Grotto in Cullman, Alabama. Basically, a Benedictine monk in the early 1900s wanted to be a priest, but couldn't due to a disability which barred him from priesthood. So he began working on sculptures made of concrete, tile, glass bottles, and really anything else he could get his hands on for 50 years in an abandoned quarry just down the road from the abbey. I personally have been there and though I am not Catholic I would highly recommend going simply for the sake of the art. He made a replica of St. Peter's Basilica and what he imagined the Tower of Babel to look like among many other things big and small.

Girlfriend introduced me to Tamers videos, and while I was hesitant at first I quickly came to the conclusion that the guy is very clearly in on the joke to some extent, and seeing the man himself hand-animated into his own videos at one point had me in stitches laughing.

Ross Scott is probably my pick. Freeman's Mind was a labor of love (and still going to this day), and seeing the kind of work that had to go into making it function how it did was mind-boggling. You watch it through the first time and figure he's just talking over Half-Life with how smoothly the game appears to be playing out, and if you've played HL1 you know that he's doing some Herculean stuff to make the game progress differently. Beyond Freeman's Mind there's his review series 'Game Dungeon', and of course his Stop Killing Games initiative, both of which come off as nothing more than Ross Scott. Never in any of his work have I gotten the impression that he's 'trying too hard', which to me at least is impressive for game reviewers of his time. He didn't run with any stupid gimmicks, just the straight dope on what's up with the game, how the game works on a technical level, hell even digging into the works of the composers.

Others said he used pulleys and simple tools. Its a modern mystery in the same vein of "Who built the pyramids?" Haunted Cosmos did a cool episode about it.

William Lyttle also known as the Mole Man of Hackney dug a wine cellar on his property (which he inherited) and had the autism switch flip in his brain. He started tunneling for 30-40 years to the point he ruined his foundation and his neighbor's foundation, filling the tunnels with about £500,000 worth of stuff. I think BBC did a documentary on him.

This is some old internet lore but around 20-22 years ago or so some nintendo autist kept posting on a forum about his idea for an animated legend of zelda series called "Legend of Zelda: The Light Of Courage" that he wanted to pitch to nintendo and it was of course shit but he refused to shut up about it so a few amatuer animators decided to fuck with him by making their own original legend of zelda animation pitch for Dic entertainment that was named "Legend of Zelda: The Light Of Courage". This was one of the earliest trolling campaigns to get widespread attention and it is the source of an old gif of a dancing golden triangle that used to get posted everywhere years ago.

Preservetube is being a piece of shit lately and refusing to work so here's an archive of the first video with links to the other two. Sadly the project was dropped and it abruptly ended after 3 videos. They're all complete shit posts but the quality improves by a ridiculous amount with each installment so they really got into it.

If you're looking for creative and eclectic weirdos, I'd check out Atrocity Guide, it's kind of like Down the Rabbit Hole, but not as gay.

My personal favorite is a Canadian tinkerer named John Hutchinson, who discovered the Hutchinson Effect. He claimed to be able to fuse matter and cause metal objects to fall upwards (dubious). What's interesting about Hutchinson is that even though people are pretty sure he did something, it's a little unclear what that thing was. He shared his discovery with the Canadian government, who shared it with Israel. Both governments ended up giving him commendations for his actions.
