on the major announcement, it's probably going to be something about the recent strikes on the boats, talking about how amazing the admin's record is on blowing up retarded narco fastboats in international waters. that's what happened last time, and there haven't been the same level of military movements or troop reroutings either, i don't think i'd put my bet on venezuela invasion. maybe more strikes on boats, more info on the strikes, or even a cool new ad for the navy and coast guard about it or something.

hegseth has been pretty vocal about the strikes on the boats, and the navy sec is the one who'd be responsible for overseeing them, so i can see him wanting them there. trump likes having the relevant people there. it'd be very interesting if the US did have some kind of crazy shit to announce, but i've believed so hard that i just can't anymore. it's just going to be a positive version of nothing ever happens, more minor but good news that only tangentially affects me/my family, but good news none the less.
