the founding fathers also said only white landowning men should be allowed to vote (by their allowing the states to determine that, which was almost every state's decision right away), but i don't see ANYONE rushing to point out that even if they should be allowed here, the founders innately believed that they should not be able to vote. even the founders were wise enough to know that if you allowed people who do not hold the best interests of the people who are ALREADY in those states (which in their time were ALMOST exclusively british christians) in mind, they should not be allowed to vote. unfortunately, as we allowed progressively larger groups to vote, you can
