I smoke occasionally. I think weed should be legalized but you should be executed by firing squad if you smoke in public or near kids.

But beyond that, imagine the kind of lobbying industry this is going to create. Imagine how every single city is going to smell. Imagine how bad drivers are going to get.
I'm sure the illegal weed market is ecstatic about the news as well.

I don't get your seething over this. No one prosecutes for marijuana anymore anyway. It reduces DA burden and opens up avenues for legitimate medical testing. LSD is still schedule 1 but tech bros love to micro dose and extol its benefits.

Edibles and vapes exist. Not everyone is going to light up a joint outside of school, but yes I think there should be stiff penalties for smoking weed in public. Taking illegals, both South American and jeets off the streets will improve traffic safety more than banning weed ever will.
I knew people who picked up vaping to quit cigarettes. It worked but then they got even more addicted to vaping where they were doing weird bathroom chemistry for custom nicotine concentrations.
Vaping slowly on its way out for cheaper nicotine pouches. The disposable replacements for Juul were worse, filled with chink chemical concoctions that wreck zoomers appearances, plus schools cracked down on it.

In retrospect, I can’t even remember what about weed was enjoyable when I was younger. I think the secret ingredient is your own youth and just the opportunity to experience it differently

But like, now, weed is just weird. There’s no dopamine or anything from using it, literally nothing but an annoying lack of clarity

No they don’t. European socialists living off of welfare who LARP as tech workers on Hacker News aren’t actual software engineers.

The vast, vast majority of real programmers don’t use any drugs besides alcohol and caffeine.

Vaping was (idk if it still is) a massive problem in high school and the ease of use for a vape means that it's much easier for a child to stumble upon it and use it.
I stopped buying Chinese vapes after their prices doubled because of tariffs, switched to Zyns instead. I’d assume broke teenagers would do the same.
