There's one video that always stuck with me from when Venezuela was essentially starving for a year in 2017, I saw it on Ace of Spades blog at the time, of all these fucking venezuelans in some village trying to kill a Ox by just throwing rocks at it and smashing cinderblocks on its head, but none of them had knives or guns or machetes to just do something humane if they so needed to eat it.
