I've been seeing a lot of chatter about the midterms, both here and on X. The main thing to remember is that nothing happening at this moment will affect the midterms. If something happening now is still happening in 11 months, then it will, but it's hard to gauge what those will be.

The biggest thing that will affect the midterms overall, though, is preventing election theft. The stats have purposefully overestimated the number of Dems by 20% or more, and have done so for decades. If you stop, or minimize, their various election fraud, you win more seats in both House and Senate.

The only major blunder that could affect anything in the midterms is running Vivek in Ohio. He's legitimately so awful that Ohioans might hand the entire thing over to the Dems just out of spite. At least with Byron in Florida we still have a primary to potentially fix things. Ohio GOP is (right now) just handing it to Vivek, but even that could change in a few months.

Apart from that, unless you are an actual strategist/advisor in the Republican Party, you shouldn't be trying to connect policy events now with the midterms. A lot can, and will, change by then, and everyone's mentality will be different.

Byron Donalds will easily win the Governor's race in Florida next year, most likely by double digits because of the R next to his name. He is not at all in danger of losing.

Vivek will also have the R next to his name in a state that Republicans easily win these days, and because the current polls are a flash in the pan, the next Governor of Ohio is going to be a jeet who a lot of people online like to dab on but will nevertheless be the first ever jeet elected to a United States gubernatorial position as far as I can recall.

I don't fucking get it, man. Chinks and Jeets are a way bigger threat than the beaners.

I think this is Trump trying to play both sides of the field... essentially have his cake and eat it too. Either that or he is getting bad advice somewhere so it's not 100% his decision.
