War of the Damned was just fantastic. Crassus was one hell of a villian and played the role perfectly.
This Ashur shit looks...shit.
The worst thing about the OG series was replacing the cute Naevia with the monkey version who just screamed and looked angry.

I rewatched War of the Damned and finished it today. I still think the stars of the show were Caesar, Crassus, and his slave girlfriend. That scene with her hanging from a cross with tears rolling down her face made me feel a thing.
Crassus beating the shit out of the Roman senator again, was a stand out scene. In-fact, Crassus really stole the show and the actor obviously put time and passion into it. One of the best villians on TV.

I've watched the first two episodes, as they're available on torrents.

Ep 1
Ashur gets isekaied. I'm not joking, I couldn't believe it either, I just laughed my ass off at the absurdity of it. Well, whatever, let's move on.
We learn how Ashur and this ludus came to be and this episode does a good job at portraying Ashur as someone capable, cunning, but having to fight for acceptance since he's a syrian. It's current year, so I believe it's more a hamfisted political message, then authentic plot.
Besides this, it has all the elements we know and love from the first season and the prequel, which are tits, asses, cocks, funny way of speech and weird set decorations (i think i saw a giant penis status or something at some point).
I love sleezcore kinos!

Here we pivot to our new Spartacus, which is a very ugly nigger. Nice body, but damn, that gorilla face is making it hard to look at.
Honestly, this episode is mainly focused on her struggles and other bullshit as a woman gladiator.
I'm a bit torn here, because I'm not sure what the writers wanted, or it's just happenstance.
For example, we see her struggling with heavy equipment, which makes sense, and she gets a few hard lessons here and there, but it's still a soft treatment as opposed to the original. She doesn't really get her shit kicked in, humiliated, forced to fight in illegal pits, basically a lesson that "the world is big, you ain't shit" like the original show did. But we also see that the current stock of gladiators is of very poor quality, and this gives me doubt. Maybe she didn't experience that, because all her peers are shit also, but then again, I might give too much credit to the writers.

All in all, I like it enough to want to see the next episodes and it's conclusion, even if the niggerette is an eye sore.
I want to see if they're going to do something great, or are they going to be cowards and present some faggy moralistic beat you over the head message with this show.

Yes, thinking more about this today after watching it last night. Everything about the show is great, but everything is shit. They 'The Force Awakens' everything from the first series; the gladiator school, the intrigue, the underdog with political aspirations who get's pissed all over...and some nice nods to the old shows (i.e. seeing Gannicus' remains being pulled off a cross), the first gladiator fight which was hilarious seeing three midgets getting tossed around, and then magical negro comes along. She struggles with nothing....right off the bat she's kicking Roman ass, she kills a gladiator after a rape attempt, she draws blood from doctori, hell, even Ashur is saying she's the bestest ever from the very first moment he lays eyes on her.
She's a cunt, she has no redeeming factors, she's ugly, she is Ray Skywalker but nigger flavoured, and has zero of the character development Spartacus had.
Also...I notice they changed the actor for Caesar...which makes me sad because Mr. Home and Away was perfect for it.
