There's actually a decent shot of the car being located and stopped with immediate reporting. Simple stop for matching a description, the gun would be in the car, and it'd be the nice kind of case DA's/cops really like because it's easy. At this point there isn't a likely avenue to successfully arresting/prosecuting someone short of them being dumb enough to admit to it. Bragging about having a security team and painting himself as persecuted still furthers the grift even if they aren't direct calls for funding.

I still have to read to see what's up, buuuut... Honestly I was thinking fake and gay having not looked at reports in the area yet. A building doesn't just get lit up and you wait until the next day to report anything. I'm supposed to believe a neigboring business (idk what his area looks like if there even are any, I'm just thinking) doesn't report it right away? Somebody down the street? Some beat cop didn't hear? Sure, Kitty Genovese is a phenomenon that can occur, but I call bullshit; anything you'd need to know would have already been on the radar.
