As funny as it is to watch Han help destroy what little is left of Ian's streaming career, I have to say that Han is a loathsome woman. The way she acts so high and mighty while talking down to everyone else says a lot about her character. She’s exactly the type who no doubt spent her youth seething and being resentful of other women, clinging to the delusion that she was "unique" rather than just insufferable. She told herself she had no friends because the world was cruel, but the truth is she’s a social black hole. She's mean spirited and joyless, the only time she seems happy is when she's lording over others.

Han takes being a mod way too seriously. It makes sense though when you realize it's because her offline life sucks. In every other part of her life she is invisible, quietly despised as the weird fatty who sucks the air out of rooms and then wonders why no one ever invites her back. But behind that keyboard, behind that little “mod” tag, she finally gets to matter. She finally gets to make other people feel small the way she has always felt small, and she does it with a glee. Being a mod is the only place people are forced to listen to her and do what she says. Everywhere else, she is nothing more than a nuisance that people have learned to tune out.

This reads like when Ian tries to pathologize the people who now dislike him. He'll be like, "They don't feel good in their own life, so they feel like they have to make fun of an innocent person online to make their own life better...I feel bad for those people honestly...."

And so on, like it's some sort of predictable pattern. Everybody he doesn't like online is someone he has figured out 100%, in his mind.

Han is a bad person. I think she grew in to being a bad person relatively recently, but I doubt there was a clear trajectory.

Taking someone's bad behavior and saying it undoubtably matched behavior they had as kids is very Ian-coded, and in my mind it's not possible for him to be right about anything involving how the world works. So I just reject it.
