This is why I have no sympathy for illegals. And the guy seems Trump-level sharp for being 88. But he basically encapsulates everything that has befallen the middle class white man in the past 40 years. A genuine pox upon the globohomos.

I'm not saying it's cool or fun or that I like it, but federal judges (especially the 9th Circuit) used to do shit like this all the time. If Republicans keep winning presidential races, that means they'll get to replace federal judges who retire. Until then, it requires an impeachment brought by the House and a two-thirds majority vote - which the GOP isn't gonna get right now.
You forgot the Senate trial after the house vote. Also out of the three SC justices who have been impeached by the House, 0 have been removed after a Senate trial. So that would be another precedent to set.

But there's other ways to get a SC judge removed. Their fellow justices can pressure them to choose to resign from their position and that is the only way historically that a justice has ever been removed. I know Roberts is 'principled' but suggesting that he and the other justices, to restore credibility to the bench, need to condem Jackson and ask her to resign might work. As we've seen that the government is currently in the mood to give you what you want if you chimp out hard enough. And hey it never hurts to try.

Totally enraging.

88 and his pension was ripped from him. What the actual fuck? I hope this guy gets a million raised for him.

Ed Bambas retired from General Motors in 1999 and lost his pension with them when they restructured in 2012. It's worth noting that Rick Wagoner, whose tenure as GM CEO found him under heavy criticism as the market valuation of GM went down by more than 90% and the company lost more than US$82 billion, was able to retire with a $10 million package in 2009.

Off-topic but does anybody know what the bare minimum specs are to run a local LLM? I’m not interested in GoyGPT after they announced ads.

Instead of locally, I would recommend using OpenRouter. They are an API service have all the major LLMs and a bunch of smaller ones you can play with also. They have a pay by the token monetary style so you just need to add money to your wallet instead of paying a monthly subscription which is nice. I have been using them for years and it is nice being able to toss $20 in every other month or so and play around with different AIs depending on what I need done.

If your VLDL or LDL cholesterol is high enough that it’s risky to leave things as they are, take the statins. You can buy supplemental COQ10 to compensate, fairly cheaply. 100-200mg generally does the trick.
My cholesterol demands a sacrifice and it ain't gonna be me, so I take the statins. If you take statins and get muscle pain, you are probably someone whose CoQ10 levels are more impacted by a statin. At that point, they try a different statin to see if you respond better.

This will get overturned. Just another activist judge trying to clog up the machinery.
Still annoying. Wish that there was a clause that if they keep doing the same shit and keep being overturned they get their tro power taken out. Being basically immune to consequence is how you get shitstain like boasberg and worse, Moraes

As optimistic as I want to be about CAFE's rollback, I don't expect it to reduce the cost of vehicles and I do expect it to increase the amount of fuel people have to buy. Corporations don't give up profits if they don't have to. If people are paying today's prices, it's not like they're going to roll them back to give up that sweet sweet bottom line.
Counterpoint: Suzuki and something like Daewoo come back because selling their little cars in America and the price people will pay is now possible

They take finasteride for their thinning hair. Side effect of that is erectile dysfunction.
How nice that Hims sells both and sponsers your favorite podcast. Very cool.
While finasteride can do that, it's not guaranteed (Trump takes it, to give an idea). Some have no side effects whatsoever. For others, some of it is the anxiety that comes from the fact it can do that in some men. In fact, some guys take it once and swear the dysfunction is permanent.

There are guys who go so far as to heavily wound their head to promote hair growth, based on case reports that include stuff like how an elderly bald man had his scalp damaged by fire and somehow regrew his hair from it.

The left is 100 percent barbs and communists funded by foreign powers and pilfering our labor to replace us. Theres no "moderate left" that has any power. Every single democrat social media account says the same thing. All their media interviews say the same thing. Its all hand in glove. Its the left, foreigners, and the deep state vs America, the people.

I firmly believe that SSRIs are utterly evil drugs, and my belief is that at some point we are getting a reckoning on them. Ditto lipophilic (and probably all) statins.
I’ll add atypical antipsychotics to that list too (prescribed outside of actual psychosis, as in when they’re used as a chemical cosh for the demented elderly and also for younger depressed people.)
The fun part about psychiatry is that schizophrenia and friends are the only diseases that have a well understood pathology (busted dopamine receptors). But then politics happened and we aren’t allowed to acknowledge that the brain can be affected by genetics/pathogens like everything else.

Yeah man, when I see the huge fucking holes in the brain, I’m like “wow that’s where the dopamine receptors are supposed to go”
