Creepy Unsolved Mysteries - From unsolved murders to unidentified people to unexplained supernatural events, what are some of the creepiest unsolved mysteries you've ever heard of?

This is not correct. The spin was “you go girl!” I don’t think anyone sided with John and he became a punchline. I think he eventually got a fake cock and was in a couple pornos.

I remember them turning it into a big joke, hell, even on shows like I Love the 90's, like a decade after the original incident. So that at least happened. It was weird to me how they would even turn such a serious thing into a running joke. Mostly the jokes were about Lorena.

The Rodney King thing. Yes, I'm old enough to remember that. That was definitely why he got acquitted. That and Johnny Cochran's constant race baiting.

Then they let the defense basically fake up O.J.'s house with pictures of black people and stuff like that, when before they doctored it, he had basically nothing but pictures of white people on his walls.
And Nicole Simpsons' condo was stripped absolutely bare. IIRC, even the porch/walkway where their bodies were found had been renovated.

Nobody has posted the sound a mountain lion makes?

Usually it's just a single "bloody murder" scream, but you get the idea.

Adult woman screaming for her life.

I've heard screams like that three times: Two times it was a mountain lion, and once it was a neighbor lady who had come home and found her ex-boyfriend in her bathtub after he'd slit his wrists with a BIG FUCKING KNIFE. (And just hearing the scream made me call the fucking cops because that was some real shit even though I had no idea what was happening when I called.)

There's a dead Native up on the North Coast in California who may or may not have been murdered:

Emmilee Risling.

My opinion is that she ate it off the side of the road somewhere, but other people have different ideas.

Now, Cochran. He brings me back to the topic of just how guilty Michael Jackson might have been with children, considering he was acquitted, just like OJ was....hm. Now, who was Jackson's lawyer? That's right. Johnny Cochran.
Unlike O.J. where I think he was guilty as sin, I can't say for certain that MJ wasn't a pedophile and never offended, but he was flat out not guilty of what he was actually prosecuted for. The evidence was an absolute joke.

Showing my age here: I was in elementary school when the John Wayne Bobbitt incident happened, and we had a special playground chant about it.

Sung in the tune of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight":

In the bedroom, the mighty bedroom
John Bobbitt rapes his wife
In the kitchen, the quiet kitchen
Lorena gets a knife
HEY HEY!
A wiener whack, a wiener whack!
A wiener whack, a wiener whack!
A wiener whack, a wiener whack!
A wiener whack, a wiener whack!

I've done a deep dive on that twice or more over the years. I came to the conclusion that he was definitely a pedophile and likely molested some of the kids. Didn't one of the children know he had splotches on his dick from his vitiligo? I'm not sure about his trial stuff, just speaking in general.
Marcia Clark was the only normal one in that entire trial. Its insane he got off. I assume Kardashian realized he was guilty afterwards?
I believe so. IIRC, it's suspected they only chose him to be a part of the counsel because then legally he wouldn't be able to testify against O.J. This wasn't something he was hip to, though. I also seem to remember he was used to pickup a suitcase or something of Juice's that was suspected to include the murder weapon and other glove or something.
He got away with murder, so he was dumb enough to think that he could push further with that whole "If I did it" thing. Didn't the Goldman family change a book written by him to a different title, though? I kind of remember reading that once.

Yep.
They just made the "If" extremely small and within the "I" of "I DID IT" in the title.

And there's this:
For context, this was a couple years after Rodney Kang. The racial angle was laid on thick during the trial. If you thought he was guilty, you hated black people. This is what a big chunk of the country, including many whites, thought. A lot of the same sentiment arose once again when the movie came out about it a few years ago.
They made a huge mistake with the jury selection. Black jurors did not test well with Marcia in jury selection or whatever, but they went with her anyway. But one of the issues was something like them game planning on women being sympathetic to Nicole being a victim of DV. But it backfired because black women are used to black men beating their ass so it wasn't no thang. Plus they viewed Nicole less sympathetically for stealing a prized black man from their dating pool.
Then there was the famous glove trick from Cochran.
O.J. stopped taking his arthritis meds. Plus it was leather completely covered in blood so it'd shrunk a bit. And didn't he have another latex glove on during? lol, ridiculous.
That and Johnny Cochran's constant race baiting.

Speaking of O.J., here's one of my favorite SNL skits:

Yeah, they caught the killer. There's a link in the "post videos of people dying" thread.
Isn't she the prosecuting attorney that had a meltdown over her hairstyle? I don't think there was a single person in that entire circus that was anything close to normal.
I thought she just got a perm and everybody else made a big deal thinking she was trying to impress the black folks.

Ted Kaczynski fantasized about killing people from an early age and wrote about how much he enjoyed it. He felt "sexually starved", hated young couples and hated the world. He also wrote that he didn't care about the environment, although did show concern for it at other times. He was criminally diverse too, committing burglary, arson, industrial sobotage and tom-peepery. He also shot and injured someone from a distance with a gun. He also wrote in his diaries that he had committed other crimes that would be "bad for PR" if known about.

For as much sense as his manifesto made, Ted wasn't the politcal crusader people think he was.

EDIT: Ted actually wrote about meeting Tim McVeigh. Since Ted believed that the races should unite to topple the system, he was skeptical of the "far right". However, McVeigh told him that the far right could be divided into two camps; racists and lolberts. Timmy placed himself in the latter category. Overall, Ted was impressed by McVeigh.
You left out the important detail that he was an AGP who considered trooning out.
While at the University of Michigan he sought psychiatric contact on one occasion at the start of his fifth year of study. As referenced above, he had been experiencing several weeks of intense and persistent sexual excitement involving fantasies of being a female. During that time period he became convinced that he should undergo sex change surgery. He recounts that he was aware that this would require a psychiatric referral, and he set up an appointment at the Health Center at the University to discuss this issue. He describes that while waiting in the waiting room, he became anxious and humiliated over the prospect of talking about this to the doctor. When he was actually seen, he did not discuss these concerns, but rather claimed he was feeling some depression and anxiety over the possibility that the deferment status would be dropped for students and teachers, and that he would face the possibility of being drafted into the military. He indicates that the psychiatrist viewed his anxiety and depression as not atypical. Mr. Kaczynski describes leaving the office and feeling rage, shame, and humiliation over this attempt to seek evaluation. He references this as significant turning point in his life.
...
In the summer after his fourth year, he describes experiencing a period of several weeks where he was sexually excited nearly all the time and was fantasizing himself as a woman and being unable to obtain any sexual relief. He decided to make an effort to have a sex change operation. When he returned to the University of Michigan he made an appointment to see a psychiatrist to be examined to determine if the sex change would be good for him. He claimed that by putting on an act he could con the psychiatrist into thinking him suitable for a feminine role even though his motive was exclusively erotic. As he was sitting in the waiting room, he turned completely against the idea of the operation and thus, when he saw the doctor, instead claimed he was depressed about the possibility of being drafted. He describes the following: As I walked away from the building afterwards, I felt disgusted about what my uncontrolled sexual cravings had almost led me to do and I felt - humiliated, and I violently hated the psychiatrist. Just then there came a major turning point in my life. Like a Phoenix, I burst from the ashes of my despair to a glorious new hope. I thought I wanted to kill that psychiatrist because the future looked utterly empty to me. I felt I wouldn't care if I died. And so I said to myself why not really kill the psychiatrist and anyone else whom I hate.

Nice. Last I heard of him was that he made a porno due to the novelty of his stitched back on cock. And I think he appeared in WWF also. For some reason. Probably the stitched back on cock.
Lemmy was in that porn film.

Because everyone knows that. But what I find funny is that if he indeed trooned out and then it all went the same way, would rightoids still look up to him or call him the prime example of why trannies are crazy?

Was it, though? He was already found liable for the "wrongful deaths" and thanks to double jeopardy he was never going to be tried for murder ever again.

It was definitely asshole to write that book, I'll grant you.
True, “shameless” is a better word to use than ballsy.
I thought she just got a perm and everybody else made a big deal thinking she was trying to impress the black folks.
This is correct. Racial tensions were extremely high during the trial so they thought she was pandering to blacks. Perms were the mullets for women back in the early and mid 90s. Anyone who was against OJ was considered a racist. Even changing your hairstyle.

The incompetence surrounding the disappearance of Anthonette Cayadito was of a truly unparalleled sort.

Focus on national statistics of child abductions rather than narrowing it down to which county in the current state has the most child abductions happening any given year. Don't go through a list of those with a record of child abuse or any kind of statutory assault. Get a witch doctor to wave a crystal around in the air while time was running out. Don't increase pressure on the family members who refuse to give information they are blatantly withholding. All a fed could sum up the Anthonette Cayadito case with was "that was a weird one"... no it was one of the most incompetently investigated missing child cases ever, to an infuriating degree. I actually wanted to fedpost after listening to the Trace Evidence Podcast episode on her disappearance.
