Well, the big issue is that banks will claim the full repayment amount of a mortgage as an asset on their balance sheet, as if the money was already manifest. They will then trade these assets as if they were real, sort of like the bad debt from the subprime mortgage move. So, in this way, its incentivizing banks to push the 90 year mortgage so that they can create this imaginary profit, with the side effect of increasing the money in the banking system without having to wait for the federal reserve to actually get off their ass and lower rates. Oh wait...
Banks haven't held the mortgages they sell for like 20-30 years. There is no risk for the banks especially after 2008 when they all know they'll be bailed out anyway now.
I don't know about that. Where I'm at, there's a soda place called Swig which is WILDLY popular with the Mormons because their sodas are caffeine free.
