It's the concern I had when Trump bombed Iran, that it would be a precursor to invasion.
Trump really isn't the type to put boots on the ground, it's antithetical to his entire "no more wars" belief, i'd be utterly shocked if he ever did, and I would support him being removed from office. That's the redline for so many people. The Iran stuff was like some sort of post gwot fever dream for a lot of vets and we got caught up in all that shit because of what had happened in the past. Two big things that stand out to me from Trump's first term was the bombing of Syria after the so called poison attack by Assad, and the taking out of that one Iranian general. Neither of them lead to anything more. I can't imagine venezuela will be more than mabbe a few air strikes, i'll be shocked if it last more than a couple days, That said, I do believe Trump loves to threaten to put on pressure to get what he wants.
