Just today, a lady with earbuds crossed against traffic and didn't even look to see if anyone - me, namely, was trying to make a legal right turn on red.

I get wanting music, podcasts, or whatever to help one get through the day. However, being unaware of the surroundings - especially in places notorious for trouble - is a recipe for a needless accident or disastrous situation.

While I'm neutral about the vote itself regarding the extension of enhanced ACA subsidies, I dislike how the "extension" may actually be a change to allow people making up to 700% of the FPL to get subsidies versus the 400% that has been in place since the ACA's inception.

The Dems are so hellbent on imposing a bad healthcare for all system that they want to turn bigger subsidy amounts into an indefinite/permanent gib they will never agree to limit or end in the future. Meanwhile, the unsubsidized portion of premiums increase far greater than inflation with steep amounts for the individual/family deductible and out of pocket maximum each year. It'd be better to address the costs than throw more money at the problem, but the former won't happen becauseit takes too much effort and too many special interests will push back at any efforts to reduce costs no matter how reasonable.

Something that should be kept in mind about Venezuela being incompatible with productive society is that if we start bombing them and going to war with them, we will be flooded with Venezuelan immigrants, the people who are not compatible with productive society. Going to war with Maduro would have disastrous consequences unless trump makes damn sure that he genocides entire race of people from Venezuela. Every last one of them no survivors, slaughter them all not just that faggot Maduro (why does trump want this one guy dead so much in the first place?
