It's oh so clear that the falling out between Trump and MTG happened because he wouldn't endorse her doomed Senate run.
Trump is just being pragmatic, and you have to be pragmatic when you are the sitting President who knows his agenda will get curbstomped if the midterms are a loss for the GOP. Reports have come out that MTG had a 12% chance of winning? Yeah no, I'd never endorse that as the POTUS. Politics are a consistent optics game, and you don't want to be the POTUS who chooses known losers.
If MTG were truly "America First," she wouldn't have done any of this. The second she smelled the end of her grift, she dipped. Plus, she waited just long enough until she hit the 5-year mark so she could collect her pension for the rest of her life.
And what does MTG do on her way out? Burn every bridge possible. She's resigning early because she wants the RINO governor to stick it to Trump (how "America First" of her lol), and she's schmoozing with leftists now. Principled? Nah dawg, she's a phoney. Once again, Trump's very existence somehow forces people to show their true colors.
I keep going back to MTG because I'm still floored that there are so many people on the right being so stupid about this. I cannot fathom defending MTG at this point. Sure, Trump has said some things in the past month that are totally ripe for criticism and backlash, but this particular thing is not indicative of Trump "losing his way" with MAGA.
