Xitter is rolling out an "account based in" location feature for all its users - Post X accounts exposed as being LARPing jeets

What a crock of bullshit:

I think I get the "Web" one. This means the user is either offline or hasn't logged back in since the change was made. I looked at my empty account from a different browser, and it said "Web", then I opened it in the main one, and now it shows this.

Nikita Bier "debunks" that the DHS account was based in Israel, stating that it has only shown American IPs since the account creation. Either it was a gayop, just a plain wrong location being listed, or he's lying and they're actually based in Israel.

I can understand why government officials wouldn't have their locations shown for privacy/security reasons.
But for official government accounts, like @DHSgov, which aren't linked to a specific individual.....why wouldn't those display the country? Shouldn't an American department account always say "Located in United States"? Do they bring their social media intern on secret operations abroad with them?

"Swedish girl" who has been going hardcore lately pitting Christians and Norse Pagans against each other turns out to be based in Israel.

She said it wasn't true and then immediately locked down her account. On top of that, someone managed to find the account that the PFP belonged to, pretty much confirming what everyone suspected.

Showing where an account was initially created and where it's operating out of:
  1. Doesn't give any specific geo-locations
  2. Doesn't entail an account's routines.
  3. Doesn't show vulnerabilities.
So the terrorism argument to me is complete crap.

For archival sake, here is Grok saying the @DHSgov account was located in Israel. I personally would not take this as solid proof, since I think the location screenshot/video is likely a hoax, and it's easy to get AI to say whatever everyone else is saying, but I still wanted to archive it, as people are claiming that it is proof.

I decided to take a look at the major groyper accounts, and to my surprise most of them are posting in Western nations! They may still be just posting in the slums in Mexico and Colombia under a VPN
