Xitter is rolling out an "account based in" location feature for all its users - Post X accounts exposed as being LARPing jeets

You act like your location wasn’t already available to X before this.
This is streamlining the process and cutting red tape. Before, a request had to be made and details needed to be given, which gets tricky under GDPR.
Making location public information means twitter don't have to handle requests, because it's right there.

It's the same back-door workaround as 2FA. It has fuck all to do with security and is just a way of giving away sensitive data to companies under the guise of "well, you did tick the box that says we can use your number and all associated metrics with it". It wasn't impossible to do before 2fa, but 2fa cuts the red tape.

The amount of rubbish bins I'm getting on my first post indicates how many short-sighted, closed-minded niggercattle now infest this once great site.

Did anyone check on Pirat Nation? Is he a content jeet in a literal sense too?

Maybe I'm coping but it seems like if you were running a statuefag or shabbos goy twitter account and you had to use a VPN you would make a point not to use India or any SEA country on the off-chance your info got leaked. So I definitely believe there's some truth in a lot of the locations revealed. The old-school method of asking the account to curse Vishnu is definitely a more effective strategy though.

Colonel Otaku Gatekeeper / COG / politicalawake is a LARPing Japanese nationalist who is from Britain. I made an effort post about him back in August. He is a lolicon that thinks that Japan allowing children the choice to wear unisex swimwear is "Woke Western Imperialism."
Frankly, with a name like "Colonel Otaku Gatekeeper", I'd be more surprised if he WAS a Japanese citizen.

Remember the warnings about WFH, that if you can do your job from your sofa, or the beach, some indian can do it in mumbai for 1/10th of the cost?
The majority of accounts being exposed as Indians gives more justification to "If it's Indians anyway, may as well ship the jobs abroad".

This looks like a nothingburger since multiple people who I don't think are faking their locations (like Null) are being placed in the wrong location. Why would I believe it works when it's funny, but ignore it when it isn't funny? Seems like it's a half baked Twitter feature that wasn't ready to be rolled out.

Bring it back elon you fag, I wanna see where the scammers scamming my personal retards are based.

Am I going insane? Every time I click "about account" It doesn't show anything about the users country?
Same here. Idk if it's a paid feature or if its partially rolled out to certain areas. I have no clue how that works.
Wow, we have our very own Pajeets on the site as well! The feature mentions that it got disabled. The OP post mentions that it got disabled. And here we have these two aces wondering why it's not available. :story:
