There are plenty of Georgians who fled after losing power due to their big mistake in 2008 alongside a legion of failed dissidents who couldn't get the internal support for a regime change.

The most interesting guy I know of who is now exiled is the former U.S backed Vice President of Iraq, Tareq al-Hashemi, who fled to Turkey and would be executed if he returned.

I think the Chinese make just under 1/3d of their energy from renewable sources and that they've slowly been phasing out coal for the last 15 or so years, to the point it represents a 20% smaller share of their energy production than back then.
Genuinely, nothing wrong with renewables. They're a source of energy with its own environmental drawbacks that we, as of now, think as being way less damaging to the environment, with their biggest faults being their variability upon environmental factors. Their major upsides are (besides being less poisonous) their strategic autonomy and nowadays, their lower costs.

The Germans aren't an independent state. They're a controlled vassal that's got no control over its own policy or decision-making. Using them as an example of anything is a pointless exercise.
For a comparison, I think Germany's barely above 50% renewable, while China is above 30%, yet Chinese energy cost is about 1/5th of that for Germany. Italy, for an example, is about 30% renewable aswell, yet their energy costs are above Germany's.

This doesn't account for storage, transfer, and production consistency. Coal, natural gas and nuclear offer all three. I'm sure renewable has their place but it's not a complete solution.
