Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

From a r/politics thread started yesterday, Clinton supporters have election night flashbacks. It's like ptsd for them.

They remember all that but somehow forget that Hillary sent her minion Podesta out to tell people to go home rather than offer reassurance to her broken supporters. Maybe it's because they all blacked out. Maybe it's because they're gullible fuckheads.

It's the anti-KKK. They grew up learning racism is bad, which is absolutely true. But people were so freaked out by the past that they pounded it into these kids hard enough to fuck up a few of their circuits. Now we've got a bunch of people who are positive that being white is bad, because white people do bad things because they're naturally bad. Any society is always going to have it's massive fuck-ups, but the course correction might have gone a little too far to port this time.

White people being 65% of the population in the USA and representing 100% of the government is probably a sign that something's wrong. Unfortunately now we have a very loud and passionate group that believes that 35% of the population being black means 95% of the government should be black. The obvious talking point is that so many people are willing to abandon the idea of merit in favor of some abstract sense of balance, and how terrible that would be for our species in the long run.

But I think the bigger problem is just how terrible your average person is at math. I can forgive emotional instability and faulty strategy, but I can't make an excuse for bad math.
eh the pendulum always swings. eventually it lands dead center. you can push it pretty far but eventually it swings just as far the other way.

The video of the speech is actually worth watching if you get schadenfreude out of seeing Clinton devolve into a hacking, wheezing mess. She has stop partway through to take a cough drop, drink water, and for the rest of the speech, she is coughing up a storm.
If she's coughing her lungs out at a fucking commencement speech, imagine what the presidency could've done to her already shitty health.

You know what's interesting? Everyone at the Clinton HQ cheered for Podesta (and Clinton, I guess) when he came out and told everyone to go home after saying they were all proud of her. Of all the election coverage I've seen (currently in the middle of MSNBC and I didn't know PBS did a coverage as well), only Fox News "dared" to question whether that was the right thing to do to send Podesta out and wait to concede the next day. Everyone else was too shell shocked to say anything else other than "Holy shit how did this happen" (or in CBS' case, refuse to call states past Nevada).

Why would you ever want someone who LOST to try again? Does the loss not suggest that perhaps people don't want that person to be president? Surely the party should be looking at other potential candidates, of the hundreds of active politicians they have in state and federal politics I find it hard to believe the only two people up to the task of running for president are Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton

It takes a fair amount of name recognition to run. At this point, who is there left? How many famous Democrat politicians can you name who would be good candidates?

There must be some psychological conditioning at work here because there's no way a crowd of sane adults would cheer for Podesta under these circumstances. Hillary deserves to be hammered over this decision. I don't mean to get salty in a salt thread, but the blind idiocy of these morons pisses me the fuck off.

Someone involved in the Obama administration I bet. Other than that, possibly Condoleezza Rice?

Condoleezza Rice? Are you high? She worked for Bush, and was constantly slurred as an Aunt Jemina/House Nigger by democrats. Why would she run as a democrat?

Honestly, just a wild hunch. I've seen her on news channels talking politics a few times lately and got the impression she was trying to stick her foot in the door.
