She asked for a covid test which instead revealed that she had a new, severe strain of influenza? What? I've never encountered omnivirus testing, is it really a thing?

Flus A, B, and COVID can all be tested on one swab, and are available commercially OTC as one test. Though I've never heard anyone call Flu B "new" before lol.

It absolutely is. We had an ebegger (I think it was Fernando?) who misread one of those tests thinking the control line said she was covid positive. The test she used was a combination covid and flu a/b test.
ETA: It was indeed Regina/Fernando.

Well, there is a new strain popping up in the UK and Canada that's been sending folks to the hospital.
With the government shutdown and current handling of the CDC, who the fuck knows what that means for the US?
Good job getting out there and spraying your germs all over the gym (that doesn't seem to have any cleaning stations), not to mention dry-humping your one-legged coach after testing the limits of the pullup bar.

Austistic post ahead:
Let's break down that attention seeking IG post into a more a realistic translation:
-Her "friend" has covid = Jon has covid.
-Weird new severe type of flu = whether she's sick or not, this is just Anna lying some more about her health with vague information that can't be easily disproven by haydurs.
-We caught it early= attempt to sound heroic and brave by framing it as a much more serious illness than it is, like they caught cancer early. She's done this type of baiting before, by saying "stage 4" lipedema.
-She's a bit bummed = always resilient and optimistic even when going through a tough time
-Cancel Cool Things like a friend's wedding in Mexico, ACL concert, and most laughable, cheering on her friends at their comps =
Biggest X for doubt on all of these things.
- Friends wedding- influencer event or not real
- Anna hates going to music events and historically either leaves super early or doesn't go at all
- These people do not need and probably do not want someone like Anna "cheering" for them. Because look at her.

And this is why Anna will never, ever lose weight. In fact, I think ALR and Chantal have a better chance of losing weight than she ever will (even though that chance is 0.0000001%). She refuses to do any self-reflection and seems to be regressing in maturity as she gets older. Her old blog posts from around 10 years ago demonstrated much more maturity than she does today. She was still really immature back then, but at least she admitted she was binge eating and it was causing her to gain weight.

And yet Anna over the last couple of years has been accessing health professionals who could have actually helped her, if she would listen and accept she needed to chance her lifestyle. Instead she deliberately chose to ignore the ones who were honest with her, instead shopping for the snake oil sales crew that were happy to just feed her delusional rhetoric.
