1. Dare I say, Discord and Telegram, and other applications remove real interactions. They're are doing it online so the human aspect is removed or at least severely delayed. Trump ran implying its release as one of his promises, just like he did in 2016 with "lock her up". Where is she locked up at?

His crimes range from actively shielding a dangerous and powerful child molester to doing some rape himself. The distinction is useful because perpetrators use different techniques to access and exploit their victims. A pedophile will abuse their own children, or those placed under their care, or snatch one off the street. They use force, the child's presumption that they must obey adults, and the child's innocence of sexual matters against them. An ephebophile relies more on manipulation. A 15-year-old (probably) won't get into a windowless white van for free candy, but they might be convinced that their 35-year-old math teacher loves them, or the rich guy with an island will give you a good-paying job and a handy isn't a big deal. The distinction is not useful as a legal or moral defense.

Having read a small percentage of Epstein's emails, I can find no innocent explanation for why anyone would talk to him. He offers no insights, no witty repartée, and doesn't seem engaged in conversations. Getting him to answer questions can be like pulling teeth from an alligator. Parsing his typos is painful--I know, the rich pay no heed to such petty bourgeoisie concerns as spelling and capitalization, but it still annoys me. I guess he knows people, and the elite will endure stuff like that to maintain connections, but why does he know people in the first place?

To be a little on-topic: Much has been made of the fact that Epstein doesn't seem to like Trump in these emails. Two things are at play here. First, Epstein was a manipulator. It's likely he would confirm someone's biases to stay in their good graces. After 2016, he would certainly tell any Democrat that Trump was an awful man, just terrible. The genuineness of Epstein's relationship with Trump isn't really salient anyway. Second, the emails that have been released so far have all been curated through some opaque process. We don't have the full picture yet.

They just don’t believe in reality. Trump’s pedo tendencies have been known for decades. They choose to ignore reality for the one they made up in their head because it’s easier to believe a charlatan that all your problems are not your fault rather than try to fix yourself.

You know what I’ve never heard Trump sincerely do? Ask about the welfare of Epstein’s victims. He could easily come out and say he wants to sit with each one to let them share their story to get these evil pedos who are definitely not him. That's a shame. It's not like I'm pulling it from my ass because I think Jews are evil or something, I think it's pretty plausible that part of the reason it was covered up was because of his connections to Israel, from a political standpoint as opposed to a racial/religion standpoint.
