I can only say what the official line is. Bondi says in order to fund SNAP they’d have to take from the children’s school lunch program. The court says they can use tariff money like they did before to cover the child nutrition program. The request for emergency stay says the order to pay out for SNAP came after hours yesterday and too soon for adequate response by the government for them to actually defend let alone comply even if they wanted to. So there’s a bunch of avenues up in the air right now that comes down to what happens in the next 45 minutes.

Yes, the Senate has the power to declare their own rules (Article I Section 5). However, it is also declared that a bill passes the House and the Senate by a SIMPLE majority (Article I, Section 7). This filibuster is blatantly violating a section of the Constitution and is essentially clogging up one of three branches of our government to be non-functional, causing a fucking power grab between the judiciary and the executive.

Can we sue the Senate?

Don't for get to put in the magic words about Due Process only to have a shitlib judge (really any judge) toss it out claiming they don't have jurisdiction.
