A few years ago, I wouldn’t have imagined the sheer intensity of higher academia, even in the most trivial and non-consequential matters. However, I have begun to realize that university produces bothersome and endless cycles of intellectual exercise to increase personal expense, stealing my money and time. Perhaps, I was niave and believed in the innate goodness of people within higher education, but it has become too obvious to ignore. They have made me a slave, a tireless toiler that produces human capital (works, GPA, etc.) and clout for the institute. I’m trapped in this world, but I have an intent to change it. I don’t want anyone else suffering my fate, and I am willing to struggle and endure if that means I can find a position to do good. Wish me luck guys. Tough times are ahead, but I’ll make it.
