For the most part. Slight downgrade in this one in that you can no longer kill your companions.

I assume because several of them are involved in the Main Quest and Obsidian was too lazy to code failsafes for that.

Killing the companions was the most fun part, apart from killing the priest, I liked that guy but I was a murder hobo and he had to die.

i saw multiple people say the writing was better but they must have been smoking crack because it’s the same snark slop as the last game. 90% of my dialogue options in the first three hours have been cringe Reddit snark

Wrong again! You can kill your companions. as a matter of fact, when i killed YongYea, my companion Nilles turned on me and i had to kill him. The funny part was my other companion Tristan (the "fascist" guy) was more broken up about it then i was lol.

Look man, i like you but you need to stop spreading mis-information. How about you actually get the info straight about the game before shiting on it?

We're only a few years out until white sliders are removed from character creation.

I went and checked and it turns out your right. I guess there only certen moments in game you can kill your companions. Sorry if i came off as a know it all asshole.

It's alright, you obviously like the game and I really really fucking don't so it's an honest difference of opinion which is cool.

I mean I guess objectively I don't either. I really hate the artstyle and dialogue but if I'm being honest and not exaggerating for the sake of lols the actual game part is ok.

The shooting is better than the first and the RPG progression is pretty good.

Stealth seems worthless though. I'm admittedly not min maxxed for it but it seems like most mooks have too much health for a one shot headshot most of the time.

The part that's driving me up the wall right now is that there's no way whatsoever to roleplay as a tough guy or asshole or renegade or whatsoever.

All the PC's dialogue options are sarcastic option 1, sarcastic option 2, more info, sarcastic option 3.

You can't threaten anyone and on the very rare occasion you actually get an "I've had enough of this shit" (attack) option it's always blunted by reddit so the actual option reads

"Well yikesarooni there budddayyyyy! I guess we'll have to work out our differences via fisticuffs at dawn!"

You can basically only role play as a woman or an extremely effeminate gay guy because that's all the dialogue will allow.

I just realized despite this being an M rated game if you're not signed in it doesn't give you an age warning like other M rated games do.

Even Steam knows this is juvenile ironyslop for children and redditors.

The game is weirdly PG and asexual, despite all the violence, and even the violence is largely bloodless. Even a Pixar movie has more maturity to it. I'm not even sure how people in this universe reproduce given the complete lack of any sort of relationships or children; maybe they do so asexually through spores or something, I don't know.
