There was a rather infamous incident during GamerGate when one of the smug retards in the Gaming sites tried to attribute something to GamerGate that had nothing to do with it, and in response to being called out on Twitter their reply was something like "I know you didn't have anything to do with this, but do you think that really matters?"

They're post modernists. Truth doesn't matter. Power matters. If they get enough power, they define what true is.
This has been how the world worked since the concept of lying was invented.
Liars don't want people to know they're lying, so if they can just get enough people to believe what they're saying is true, then a human's natural sense of shame will push them to continue parroting the lie rather than face the embarrassment of admitting to themselves they were fooled.

>full-on boots on the ground invasion of Venezuela
>kill every single person in the country (except @Jose Beaner Luna and his family)
>deport every single immigrant in the US to Venezuela
>???
>PROFIT!!!
The only state i will vouch for avoiding total destruction is Merida, they dindu nuffins and the people there still put effort to keep the place beautiful despite being constantly punished for being rebelious towards the goverment, everything else (specially Caracas) do deserve to be nuked though.

Clock me if already posted or discussed, I don't remember if it already was but,

Senior U.S District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly has ruled today, 10/31/2025, that the President's EO for documented proof of citizenship for the federal voter registration form can not be enforced. Calling it a violation of the separation of powers, as the Constitution empowers States to decide who is qualified to vote in Federal elections. This is after 3 non profit organizations sued the administration back in April. Courtlistener link to the full opinion given. I have attached the final ruling and the opinion .pdfs.

Sometimes I think about how the Futurama guys didn't realize that they made Nixon a really compelling character and that Congress is to blame for Zapp Brannigan becoming a flag officer.

And then when a state decides to do anything to combat fraudulent votes they get tied up in the courts over and over.

This is very savvy. People might not like this, but Trump is continuing to try and retain the moral high ground and not appear like he's trying to heartlessly starve anyone (...of the obese, entitled people who are in reality abusing the system).

I was getting worried about the game of PR these last couple of days, but Trump is trying to stay on top of this whole shutdown situation. He continues to shut down any way he and the GOP could be seen as the villains here.
Yup, he's got 'em now. Especially with two different courts both ordering the administration to do contradictory things, now nobody can claim the admin is deliberately breaking the law or disobeying a court, since no matter what the admin does, there's a court order supporting it.

That and Trump can easily point to the courts being fucking retarded and even fighting amongst themselves about how best to punish Orange Man Bad™.

The only reason Watergate happened was because they needed an excuse to take him out without killing him. He was extremely well-liked and his actions were very disruptive to the ruling class. Watergate also helped solidify the media as a moral authority, which was desirable since they spent 2 decades training and injecting intelligence agents into the media as propagandists a la Operation Mockingbird. That's why Watergate has been so sacred to the MSM.

Unfortunately, Nixon also comitted the unforgivable sin of decoupling the U.S. dollar from gold. You could argue that it helped mitigate civilian damage from inflation, since inflation has overall been extreme compared to the "devastating" inflation during Carter's term, yet people barely complained about it until COVID kicked it into maximum overdrive. Still a very sad and large blot on his record.
The gold standard was already on life support by the time Nixon ended it, we already didn't have enough gold to cover the dollars in circulation, not domestically, but internationally. Hence the petrodollar to replace it, which can best be described as "It was a good idea at the time." I'd bookmarked a really good Twitter thread about how it all worked, but it appears to have vanished. Or I forgot to bookmark it and my dyslexic brain thought I did. Alas.

Much like opening up China, it was a good, maybe even necessary, idea at the time, but the people who took over for Nixon and his people were lesser men and now it's all fucked up. Literally the only Quaker who was ever worth a damn.

What? no, there's a reason why EBT payments were staggered. you do NOT want to go to the store when all the welfare recipients are going at the same time with a big stack of food stamps. You might get shanked fro grabbing the last tv dinner.
A fair consideration, maybe skip November entirely then.

Apparently, Trump is trying to get SNAP back? Fuck man, and 50 minutes left too. Aw man, I wanted to see pure chaos.
He's been "trying" for the past month.
That said, the Court indicating what is legally correct will not happen until at least EOD Monday, and even that would be a miraculously fast resolution.

When these tards say shit like “all art is political” what they really mean is “all art agree with my politics”

Also I am surprised no one has tried to “urm acktualky the flood is the good guys” yet
Also also bonus

For 2 decades these tards had every single big media franchise changing and mutiliating
themselves to be appeal to these freaks.

He's just covering the GOP's ass. How exactly this would be funded legally under these circumstances is a complete mystery. But as long as the GOP say they're willing to do so as long as the courts give them guidance means the GOP aren't the ones to blame. The blame falls back on the Dems who are holding everything up by not voting on the CR and on the courts who are making insane, contradictory rulings. This is all a game of optics now.
