First of all, Trump can go fuck himself and if he stops the tunnel and the existing ones collapse, they fallout is so significant that it'll cripple a major chunk of the NYC region's economy (all of which pipes cash to the red states who leach off the wealth of blue states). I'm pretty sure it is also illegal to revoke congressionally approved funding but once again, Trump's above the law and no rules will stop him.
This is also just a part of a series of obviously targeted attacks against NY transit projects and anything the Democrats have supported and by extension, revenge for the shutdown that he caused. Anything that doesn't bow down to their oil or auto company interests are not good or allowed. Either that or the fact that "the undesireables" (e.g. immigrants, minorities or anyone that isn't wealthy) primarily use transit, it's not good and un-American.
He has to pay the MTA $34 million for security usage (Archive) per a judge's orders after he tried withholding the cash and tie it with the deportation efforts.
I doubt he'll comply with the judge's orders because he's God-Emperor Trump and no pesky judge is going to tell him otherwise.
Further attacks are now directed at a busway project (Archive) which will close 34th Street to buses and local deliveries because buses here move at an average of 3mph and are some of the slowest in the country. Of course, they're trying to make excuses saying "large trucks won't be able to make deliveries", but it's clearly one of the many targeted attacks against cities that didn't vote for him and Trump especially hates NYC and will continue to meddle in their affairs because they've essentially told him to kick rocks and go fuck himself.

Trump is a clown who will never get the better of Putin, Xi, etc. While Trump was patting himself on the back about Gaza and promoting his absolutely worthless Abraham Accords, he is way out of his league here. The promise of lifting sanctions doesn’t do a thing because Putin is doing just fine with them. This is where Trump really screwed himself over by hiring lackeys, bimbos, and shitwits. No equivalent to a Kissinger wants to be near this flaming dumpster fire of an administration and these failed talks will just embolden Putin further. Are you tired of winning yet?
