I thought IWC was joking when he said that Merrick Garland was one of the people being considered for FBI director, but it seems like he was actually suggested to the administration by a Republican member of the Senate Judiciary Committee. And it seems like the Pence and others were not entirely opposed to the idea. There even talking about it on the MSM.

I cant tell you how badly i want this to happen.

I didn't actually. It came out in 97, that was the first Alien movie I saw in the theater, and the first season of Buffy was out. Buffy was a pretty good show for a while. But Alien Resurrection is a horrendous pile of shit that killed the franchise.

Sensitive Joss Whedon can say "Oh well, the director, a Frenchie, misinterpreted my brilliant screenplay!"

Fuck that. Whose' idea was it to make the Alien franchise a parody of itself? Oh it was him.

It's been over 20 years and I'm still fucking mad. Cabin in the Woods redeemed him quite a bit but he still killed the Alien franchise and refuses to own that responsibility.

I believe it. About the only credit I'll give him is that the Newborn was supposed to be entirely different. It was supposed to be a spider creature with veins running along it's head. It wasn't supposed to look like Pumpkinhead.

It had like multiple arms like a spider, giant pincers, and sucked blood like a vampire too. Rereading the script now, it feels very much like an Indominus Rex situation. "Let's revamp this classic movie monster to make it bigger, slicker, more awesomer."

Anyway, making the Newborn into a deformed, emotionally unstable, bunched up mess like the Brundlefly was a different approach at least and it kind of made sense in the fact that it was the result of a accidental genetic fuck up. They got their peanut butter in my chocolate and their alien queen in my Ripley. So, again, I'm inclined to give credit to the frog.

Though they way they killed it was offputtingly sadistic considering how the fucking thing's portrayal bordered on the empathetic. Especially when you consider the fact that the decision to kill it by sucking out its insides slowly while it screams in pain and reaches for Ripley seems to have been made after that bit was changed. I think Whedon had his Newborn just get tossed out the back of the ship and fall to its death or something.

You know, there could be a business opportunity to send some of these people on 3 month excursions in places like Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Somalia and North Korea to get a better understanding of the world.

So basically Fyre Festival, only more true and honest.
