It is even wilder when you consider there has been no wrathful retribution against the left after Charlie Kirk's assassination, despite the left's claims of violent rhetoric from the right being such a big issue, just the president and VP making absurdist memes out of their political opponents.

The left is full of anger and fearmongering while the right is laughing its ass off and promising to keep the laughs coming for as long as the left continues acting like idiots.

There's this movie called Tucker and Dale versus Evil, and it's about these two hillbilly guys who go out in the woods and they're minding their own business but these dumb fuck college kids keep finding ways to kill themselves through their own stupidity.
I feel like we're living through the era of politics where it has become this movie, and the left are the dumb fuck college kids.
 
So the plan was to threaten Trump with a government shutdown if he wouldn't give money to invaders. Government jobs are vastly disproportionately democrat, and a shutdown gives Trump power to fire whoever he wants. Can someone tell me the logic here?

The Dems thought they would win this game of chicken and be seen as heroes, while totally forgetting that Trump is a man known for getting things done and also forgetting that the majority of citizens oppose the things the dems were fighting for.

They expected pressure from citizens to make the Republicans give in, but it didn't come.

And the best part was that before the shutdown public approval of the Democrat party was low as fuck, they've been hemorrhaging independent voters at an alarming rate, the current administration may be not be perfect but the public trusts the Trump administration on key issues more than they do the Dems.
And their solution to this was to shut down the government because we don't want to spend federal money on healthcare for illegal tortilla flingers and trans surgeries for minors.
And the icing on the cake is now the Trump administration has all day to fucking make a joke out of these people, causing them to throw bitch fits, removing any doubt in the minds of voters that it was the Democrats having a bitch fit that got the government shut down in the first place.
I bet fucking JD Vance is currently looking in a mirror somewhere deciding which color tie to wear at his inauguration.

The more cordial thing is exactly why I keep saying Newsom is making a mistake by turning his social media into a Trump imitation. Vance is not Trump. They are not running against Trump next time but they will be too Trump deranged to run against anybody else for the next 10 years at least.

JD has been incredible in this whole thing. He already comes off as a very normal, human guy, and now he's reposting sombreros and making joking threats about sombrero proliferation in response to lefties whining about the shutdown.

He's making himself the perfect unpretentious statesman, and in a world where a lot of political campaigning comes down to "Would you want to have a beer with this person?" JD is becoming the guy everyone wants at the BBQ.

I read his book and I saw the movie about it on Netflix, and the more that I learn about this guy who's only a few years older than me I could totally imagine him being one of the older kids I hung out with growing up, getting along with everybody and being cool. He's just a normal dude.
I think what scares liberals and the reason that Trump picked him is because he brings just the right amount of legitimacy but at the same time no bullshit.
He's a politician but he can speak on things like the military because he was a Marine in Iraq. He can go after drug dealers and traffickers so hard because his mother was a pain pill and heroin addict.
The type of embarrassing stuff about him like being a hillbilly or having a junkie mom he openly talks about so they aren't skeletons in his closet, they make him more endearing and trustworthy to people.
And they can't even hit him with that racism bullshit because he's got a thank you for calling Apple tech support wife.
Trump's approach to criticism or attacks is to tank that shit and bully you harder. Vance's strategy has always been to politely confront you and then break down exactly why you're the dick while effortlessly dodging whatever you're throwing at him.
