To be fair, a smaller population for America wouldn't be a bad thing. If you deport all illegals, we still have too many people. I will take a population cut if it means affordable housing, a stable job market and sustainable levels of replacement for our posterity. More people = more smart people
More smart people = more things invented
More things invented = more technological progress and QoL

This fails to work, however, when the system is intentionally gamed to not create smart people and instead create minimum-viable workers and vote slaves as to engorge the upper classes' appetite for upward lines and yachts.

Exactly. I can understand the spam rolling for visionary citizens but like......that's not what we get. How many more people does China have? How far behind are they? This presumes China is going to have a collapse. They will have issues due to a lopsided population distribution resulting from their one child policy, but they're not going to implode. Countries survived wars, famines, and plagues that killed double digit percentages of their populations. The problem will ultimately correct when the elderly population dies and young people have easy access to inexpensive housing and inherit accrued wealth. This is no different than how other animal populations grow and shrink due to changes in their environments.

People give China shit because it's fun. They do the same back for similar reasons. No one who isn't moderately to severely autistic or stupid takes it too seriously.

2. If the births were even dispersed over a overall homogeneous population to 2 stable loving parents then there would be NO ISSUE, this is not the case. Those few being born are being born into poor, broken, immigrant households. Notice its total births, not total mothers, most of the births are from a very small percentage of the population using the broken child support and government support system in this country.

Most children aren't being born into the conditions you describe. The conditions aren't too much different than was the historical norm either. The birthrates by race are similar for black and white, with only Hispanics being significantly higher. Asians and American Indians are slightly lower than other groups. Statistics on birth and income are harder to come by, but it seems that births per 1,000 people to women living below the poverty line have been declining over the past two decades.

If fewer people are born, fewer taxes go to support the previous generation of people's welfare and social security. If there aren't enough taxes, then the whole system collapses and you lose the "bread" part of "bread and circuses."
