I have painstakingly, manually added the lowercase ń to our version of Quattrocento.
 
If you really want to improve the language boards, I would ban use of English on those boards. Gatekeeping the boards might limit traffic at first, but I think it would provide a better experience for the actual language speakers using them.

I could be mistaken but I don’t think it’s really an issue in many threads, except maybe the Japanese one, which is mogged with weeaboos & just a few seemingly native Japanese speakers. Last time I looked ITT it was 80% weeaboos who saw the Jap thread & jumped in with English posting, & then a few native Japanese speakers who answer questions for the weebs gathered within. It’s a funny little microcosm on site.

I see effort on the part of many of the weeaboos in that thread though, too. Many of them are trying to learn to read & write better Japanese, & they practice in the thread with a few native speakers. I really think there’s a market for that, though I’m not sure Kiwi Farms will grab that market or is even a viable place for it. I think having threads like that could be cool, but would take a while to get established & used. I don’t see any other interest in the idea for a few language learning threads, posed a few pages ago, yet.

First, language help threads would probably attract current members, then word would grow, & new members would follow, it would take time to grow though. Talking about humorous subjects in a foreign language is helpful in learning how people really speak, plus helps with learning slang, & isn’t something I’ve seen done yet so I’m not sure on a good way to implement the idea. There are so many app’s for language learning now, but nothing beats real practice, reading, writing, & speaking.

A single language-learning thread for each language could be stickied at the top of each language board. Point is to keep retards shitting up threads with ‘hurr durr why is your culture so different from mine??’ and noob questions.

Between these 2, I like "Русскоязычный" more. However, I would like to suggest an alternative name, "Нижний Интернет" (Literally: Lower Internet). Lower Internet is a term used to describe a Russian Lolcow Community. It is usually used to refer to "Trash Streaming," kind of like IP2, but it is also often used to describe Russian Lolcows in general

I'd prefer the first one, although it is just me. Otherwise you can just call it Slavboard.

On the topic of a Russian subforum - that would be great. There are what, just three lolcow threads and general, but still, having our own corner is a good prospect. Like @Relinquish already said there are enough of russian lolcows out there, it just so happened that no one here wants to write or read about them. Maybe this is going to change, I am not sure. I am just surprised that the number of russian speaking users is almost as high as german and spanish.

I'm assuming the goal here is to grow the KiwiFarms itself and if that's the intention, I think Japanese is a pretty good one to expand to since their English knowledge is absurdly low and they mostly keep to themselves in general. I've heard about various strange Japanese people that would definitely fit the criteria of lolcow that mostly get discussed on their various YouTube channels and such. I'm fluent so if you need help in a board description or something like that I can help!

I like neither, the former will set the stage wrong and offend some people, and the latter is overly politically correct and therefore gay.
Just call it Интересные личности, if that's not too long.

What you guys think of creating from time to time a translation of a thread about biggest lolcow in your region to encourage others in participation? That would also serve as a learning language trick for interested individuals to delve deeper into internet culture of selected country/region of interest. Based on that we could nominate and vote for heftiest lolcow for Europoors, Russian-tards, Spaniards and so on.

Maybe selected region-janitors could create a thread about selected lolcow so we could bypass any circumstances of doubleposting and so on.

Similar to Swedish in that I do not think I have ever met a Dane younger than 65 who did not have at least halting command of conversational English, and any Danes who don't speak English speak German in my experience. The only Danish cow I can think of off the top of my head is Kittystyles, and he and his alogs all speak English.
