I just read from my Local Government Propaganda Media that "US Congress Democrats have a stranglehold on Trump." I'm not an expert in US politics, but isn't that sort of the opposite of what's going on?
Maybe they mean it like in prowrestling, where a "strangle hold" is really when they just stand there really doing nothing and people believe it's LITERALLY LIFE AND DEATH.

Okay, I really was really young back then, so can someone tell me if FOX/the right keep up w/ the Birther shit for this long? Like this conspiracy has been going on for way too fucking long.

Fox and "the right" didn't keep up with the birther thing for any amount of time, this was never a mainstream thing and even Glenn Beck was off that train like 5 seconds after it started.

Donald Trump was the biggest "right-wing" name associated with the Birther thing, and he voted for Obama a year prior.

Pundits are still pissed about Comey

Seth Meyers is going full in and saying that Trump getting pissed on Russians on tape is a real thing, and Trump is a dictator

Colbert is as pissed off as ever TRUMP IS A DICTATOR LIKE HITLER AND ALSO REALLY DUMB OK

Samantha Bee is also going for the 'Trump gets pissed on' and tons of unfunny shit not worth mocking in all caps OH WAIT NEVERMIND SHE SAID DEMOCRATS LOVE AMERICA MORE THAN THEY ARE PARTISANS :story:

Olberdouche is calling for foreign intelligence services to overthrow the Trump administration .

http://www.weeklystandard.com/olber...-the-u.s.-government.-really./article/2008007

Trump’s firing of FBI director James Comey certainly raises a lot of questions. However, the two salient facts here remain: The Trump-Russia investigation isn’t going away, and not even the FBI disagrees that it was within the Trump’s power to fire a man who serves at the pleasure of the president. In fact, by firing Comey so abruptly, Trump may have breathed new life into the investigation. One of the golden rules of Washington still applies here: Never assume malevolence when incompetence will suffice as an explanation.

Nonetheless, there is an emerging strain of thought in the fever swamps of the left that not running around with your hair on fire at right now is the hallmark of a collaborator. To that end, I present Keith Olbermann’s latest rant, in which the former MSNBC host calls on foreign intelligence agencies—including, incredibly, the Russian GRU—to help overthrow the U.S. government. Ostensibly, this is to save us from “a coup” presently under way by “the greatest threat to the freedoms of this nation that this nation has ever faced, the Trump administration, the Trump junta.”

I'll go out in a limb and guess his hypnotic "RESISTANCE!11" barking won't last for much long.

Even compared to the likes of Bee, Seth Meyers is the biggest cunt of all late night circle jerks.

Trump is keeping his ego in check and getting rid of the cancer. He doesn't give a fuck what anyone feels.

If Trump was even half as bad as Colbert says he is, Colbert wouldn't be allowed to talk about him the way he does.

That fact pretty much turns everything else he says into white noise.

Considering the blind panic the MSM has been in constantly for months, it's going to be funny to watch them try and say, with a straight face, that "There's no such thing as a liberal bias in the news! That's just conservatives being upset by the TRUTH!" whenever and wherever this train ride ends. Be it 4 or 8 years from now.

They always kept it at a careful, deniable level in the past, but the Trump administration has caused them to blow it badly.

I don't understand how anyone can watch and enjoy Colbert, Meyers and the others now. Surely even if you watch it just to confirm what you already think it would eventually get annoying hearing "waa tr*mp is bad and doing bad things" and the same handful of jokes about him every night. It's been over a year since this crap started, surely at some point people will get bored and switch off the tv unless some of these late night shows mix their subject matter up a bit.

Trumptism allows one to watch the same thing over and over forever.

Late night TV ratings move a glacier's pace. Even if his content is repetitive, late night TV is more of a routine for most people than it is something that they critique. Colbert's ratings are above what Letterman was getting before he started his retirement run, but below what he got after he announced his retirement. The rumor is that CBS isn't thrilled with the ratings he's getting considering his paycheck, but he's probably not going to get fired anytime soon.
